I am on the care team at our church, and just received a call that a 5 year old girl of our congregation was found dead by her mom this morning. They have no idea what happened. Has anyone ever lost a child? I have no idea what to do or say. I can't stop crying, praying and holding my newborn baby girl.

Oh my! This is a worst nightmare that a mother can have, to find her child dead. I am so sad, my heart goes out to the mom. Please hug her if you meet her with deepest sympathy. I know someone who had to have an abortion for some reason and they were very depressed for a long time. If this happened to me I can only imagine how I would suffer if my child died. I would be with her during a time like this if I knew her. This is very tragic.

Well, I know her, but not well. I know that some people who are closer to her are with her family right now. It's terrible, she had a miscarriage after this daughter, and now she only has a son who's almost 3.

Brandy, if you do find out in the future why she died, please let me know. My grndmother had a miscarriage I think or did he die at a young age, I don't remember exactly. But when she was telling me about it in her 80's she would still cry. I think I would be the same. I don't think I would ever get over it and no therapy would help.

Ok, I will post whenever I find out. It is going to be really difficult for her to let her son go to sleep until she finds out, I bet.

when you see this kind of post you want to ignore things like this happen out of fear, you cant imagine what she must feel like. terrible
