Would like to hear from moms with colicky babies, trying to figure out if my son is colicky or just cranky!

If it's colic, nothing will work, and they tend to have a crying schedule where it seems like the same amount of time around the same time of day every day. My son would cry for three hours every night and nothing made him stop except letting him cry. It was horrible, and i would usually cry along with him. Try some oval drops or gripe water if you suspect gas. Sometime swaddling helps. Are you b___stfeeding? Sometimes foods you eat can upset their tummies.

Amy, I am recently having the same problem with my 3 week old. The last 2 nights he has started screaming his head off until about 2 or 3 in the morning. It is aweful. Nothing I do seems to help. I am b___stfeeding and I honestly couldn't be eating any blander foods. I can't completely stop eating. I think he has aweful gas, does anything help? I have the mylicon drops, but those don't seem to really help.

My daughter was very colicky. She is just now better at 3 mos. But with her the only thing that would sometimes calm her is running water or running the vacuum. Sounds funny but it would calm her some. She would cry from about 5pm to 9 or 10pm. Also we used Little Tummies, those seemed to help it some too. Wish you the best....but know that it does end...and it goes by faster than what you think it will.

I use the gripe water at every other feeding. It seems to work good. My daughter is 2 weeks and has gas and spits up. It has been a lifesaver.

What is gripe water and where do you get it? My baby does not scream for hours at a time, but he cries when he wakes up, till he eats, then he will play in a bouncy seat or pack n play for about 10 minutes, then cry. I move him around from toy to toy, then I have to take him on a ride in the car or in the stroller until he calms down, is this sound typical? I thought at 11 weeks he would start to cry less?

he probably isnt really crying as much as you think. It probably just seems like alot. Also, if he is, then he knows that if he crys you will move him and take him for a ride. I am not saying he is spoiled (I dont think you can spoil babys) but I think he really likes to be on the go. Does he like the swing? We never used gripe water but we do use mylicon drops. They work wonders! Does he like his mobile? I thought Amaya was getting tired of her pack n play also, but it was just that the mobile had stopped moving, now as long as I keep it going she will stay there anywhere from 30mins to an hour or so. She also likes music. Maybe try a different type of bottle also (if you are bottle feeding) Good luck
