Daily Schedule

My Emma is 8 wks old now and I was wondering if I should start trying to set a bedtime schedule for her this young? We're starting to get what I'd call a daily routine while I'm home. We get up whenever we feel like it basically or however long she lets me sleep in! Sometimes till eleven! I'm up late working...but during the day she naps on and off whenever she wants and seems to take a power nap later afternoon till after supper time, which is nice so we can eat! I got out a lot with her and she sleeps most of the time we're gone. I usually lay her in her crib around 9-10 at night and she's pretty good about it and won't cry. It takes a little while for her to knock out on her own but as long as the Fisher Price Aqua deal is going she's very content and won't fuss or cry. She's still up every 4 hours to eat at night to and I br___tfeed her. Does this seem like a decent schedule? I plan on returned to work at 14 wks and I want to make sure she'll go down early enough so I get a good night's sleep and I see some babies are going to bed at 7-8 at night!!!

I find that an evening bath works well to prepare Aja that it's time to go to sleep. We bathed him each night so he would know what to expect. Sounds like you have a good schedule going already. My son goes to sleep at 7:30 each night and wakes once in the night for a change and a feed. Usually it is around 4am. It sucks but he must be hungry after sleeping for 8.5 hrs. His diaper is always soaked by that time. He sleeps until 7am after the feed/change.

I usually do the bath thing too but sometimes she's sleeping when I'd normally give her one and I don't want to wake her but after a bath I nurse her and she's pretty much out for the night!
