How To Keep Him Occupied

Ok, I have to type this QUICK because my son hates when I don't pay attention to him...I just need some advice badly! This is probably a stage all babies go through but my son (hes almost a year old) has been very clingy and needs attention 100% of the time when hes awake. I'm fine with his clingyness because I'm a stay at home Mom and can devote my time to him but when I have to take a shower or do dishes or do laundry etc., my son whines the WHOLE time until I'm back to be with him (I just took a shower and he was in his crib and I heard him whining the whole time). I'm thinking hes just bored...I guess I just need advice with keeping him occupied when I'm trying to do something other than be with him. When my hubby gets home from work, my son just whines for me, even if my hubby is trying to play with my son. My son and I go out of the house probably 2-3 times a week because my hubby takes the car to work. What can I do to keep my son happy in the house, sometimes my son even gets frustrated when we do play. I've read books to him, took walks to the park, played with his toys but he just seems to get realllllly bored! What can I do?

maybe he needs some new toys and new activites to try. My son who is just a bit older than yours loves water play, maybe he would be interested in that. when my son gets irritated that i am in the other room, i make a game out of it by peeking my head in the room he is in and saying peek a boo everyonce in a while

My son is getting that way. He usually entertains himself with toys. I have to switch out the toys frequently to keep him interested. Sometimes I lay him in his crib with a couple of toys and he whines for a while but eventually gives up and entertains himself. Try ignoring the whines. He knows exactly how to get his way.
