My 2 month old son sleep SO well during the daytime. He refuses to sleep during the night and wants to be carried and walked. To wake him up, I have tried stripping him, bright rooms and loud TVs, tickles and massages, bathing him....etc... At most, he only wakes up for awhile but will fall back to sleep. Anyone else have this problem? How can I keep him awake during the daytime so that he sleeps better at night?

try taking him outside for about 30 minutes during the daylight hours, just so that he will get his internal clock in sync with "normal" people...he just needs to know light means day and dark means sleepy time. i think i read somewhere that you shouldn't let them sleep longer than two hour naps during the day, and only a few of them...my son always takes an hour nap right before he eats during the day, maybe you can try that...also, my son gets baths and ma__sages at night...they actually help him get drowsy nowadays and he sleeps with white noise at night. Try the daylight thing though...i sure hope he comes around soon. good luck sheila

Maybe he could sleep with a light on at night, put a dimmer switch on it, and gradually make it darker over a couple of weeks. He may not notice the change. Just a thought...Never tested this.
