How do you get a baby to chew food? I'm trying to get my baby to self feed and he refuses. Like with his bottle, he can hold it and does sometimes but now he wont take a bottle unless I hold it. I also tried to get him to feed himself some green beans and peas and he just gets mad. How can I get him to feed himself and want to eat regular food. Please help, Im lost.

How old is your son? I've realized that boys are a bit to the slower side of learning things so I think it's better when I hold my son's bottle and I feed him with the spoon, it's not as messy too! My son will be one year in exactly a week and once he shows signs of wanting to feed himself, I'll let him go at it. I don't like to force him into things, when hes ready, then it's time to move on with bigger obstacles. Your son depends on you. If I knew how old he was, I could give you better advice but for now, let your son move at his own pace. They grow up sooo quick, I don't want to force him to grow up quicker, I enjoy feeding my son, it's like bonding!!!

My son is 8 months old. And he is pretty smart. He has caught on to everything so far quickly, but feeding himself. Maybe he isnt ready but I would like to know how to go about it for when he is. Thanks!
