Thank you! You are too sweet! How is Thyler doing? Growing I'm sure! I was very proud of Amaya, she did very good and was well behaved! I was a little worried because she fell asleep right before it started and she wouldnt wake up, she just kept falling back asleep, but once the lady started talking she perked right up! LOL she is so funny! Thanks again

yup! I read about her falling asleep. Must be getting her beauty sleep just before the big event! lol! clever girl! I was sure she would win something the moment i read that you entered her in the pageant. and i was right!!! yay! Thyler isn't doing too well he just got his shots yesterday. again, he didn't react much. it's me again who fared worse. shame on me!! he feels a little warm to me but the thermometer says otherwise. He's grown a great deal since birth(7lbs). he now weighs 19lbs and is 69.5cm(27inches i think.)long.

WOW! What a big boy! When was he born again? Were these 4 or 6 month shots? Amaya didn't really react to her shots until the next day, she ran a fever that got up to 101. Then she got a runny nose and sore throat. We took her back to the doc and she had an ear infection in both ears. The doctor said it was from her runny nose draining and causing irritation in her ears. She has been on prescription meds for a week now and has had diarrhea (YUCK!!) We were told yesterday that when anyone has diarrhea you become lactose intollerant so we had to change her formula for the next week or two. It has been a mess but she is a trooper! She hasnt really been fussy at all but we are just having to change her diaper and clothes almost every 30 mins. It is like she is a newborn all over again! Sleepless nights! I hope Thyler doesnt have any of these problems with his shots but if you do notice his fever not getting better with tylenol or him getting a cold/flu like symptoms I would take him in right away! These are his 5 mths shots. They scheduled his DPT shot apart from the hep B ones to reduce the risk of him running a high fever. I hope it works. He was born on 25thApr although his due date was around 11th may. The polyclinic gave us this baby paracetemol to take straight after the jab. I think it made him sleepy cos he slept the whole of yesterday. He's usually more active but today he's just so cranky. Could be that he is fighting off the viruses in the vaccines or that he is teething too(?) I'm so sorry about Amaya being down with a diarrhea from the antibiotics but so so fortunately she's such a happy, optimistic doll. (even though it seems never ending.. shots, then fever, then runny nose and sore throat, and then the ear infection. ) through it all, she's recovering well so if you look on the bright side, it's more of a laundry problem than a health threat. Do give her lotsa hugs and kisses! ok.. i know, it's easy to say 'only a laundry problem' when i'm not the one doing the laundry:) and the changing. (i'm not too much of a tactful person, i guess) I remember when thyler was a newborn he pooped after every feed! really yucky! I heard yogurt may help people who are lactose intolerant but need the nutrients in milk. But i'm not sure if it works for babies too. maybe plain yogurt? doesn't taste too good but the acidophilus or lactobacilus (i dunno which) is supposed to be good for the gut flora. Do hang in there! She'll be good as new soon. I was just wondering how long after these jabs will he have the chance of develping a fever? Is there like a window period that if he is fine til then then he will be fine? like if he doesn't have a fever for say 5 days, he won't have a fever?

I am not sure what the time span for side affects are. I am sure after a good nights sleep he will be back to his normal happy cute little self! She has been better all day today and no dirty diapers!
