My three month-old had a stuffy nose a couple of weeks ago and that freaked me out! Can't imagine how I would react to a fever and vomiting!! Keep a close eye on her so that she doesn't get dehydrated. I was told that's the biggest danger to them. Good luck to you and get well to your daughter.

Give her pedialite as often as she'll take it. Signs of dehydration include sunken soft spot, cracked lips and crying without tears. The best thing to reduce fever is ibuprofen. When your baby is so small, you have to ask the doctor if that's okay and what the dosage should be. Everyone's babies get sick sometimes, and there's really no way to prevent it. My daughter was sick four times during her first year, and my husband changed jobs because of it. He was working at a children's hospital and decided there were just too many germs around. She also had to have an operation, and she was one of the babies who got bad formula at walmart (this was a couple of years ago) so we had to spend a week sc___ping poop out of her diapers, putting it in jars, and taking it to the doctor's office. I know I'm a good mom, sometimes there are things you just can't prevent, and all you can do is treat them when they happen. You're a good mom too, for worrying about it.

Glad to hear she's doing better. In a couple of years you'll be used to it and when she gets sick, you and your husband will be looking at each other like, "Whose turn is it to clean up the barf this time?"

This am she had a loose bowl movement after she ate not alot but some and alittle last night but today she's smiling and cooing she's looking much brighter.I guess the loose stool is just part of it getting out of her system.Shes not having it alot but a little here and there.I'm just so glad she's eating again and last night she slept through the night like she did before she got sick so I hope were on the mend. Thanks for your support It's nice to have someone to talk to.

This is a silly question, but do you have an ear thermometer? I didn't buy one until my daughter was almost 2, and I really wished I had bought it sooner. It's really useful when they're walking, because you can sneak up and take their temperature before they can run away.

Yeah I do have an ear one it's great but i also have one for under their arm. She's eating good again but sleeping alot even during the day which she doesn't usually do but I guess she needs it.I just don't want her screw up her night routine cause she sleeps through the night.Anyway I should just be thankful she's getting better.

When she goes through a growth spurt she'll sleep a whole lot. It might not have anything to do with having been sick. My daughter would have a week or two when she was sleeping 20 hours a day, and at the end of it she'd be a couple inches longer. I used to be so lonely when she would do all that sleeping. I wanted to tell her "Wake up, it's time to play with mommy."

I wondered about a growth spurt because she was going 3 to 4 hours beween feedings through the day and today it's every 2- 2/1 hours and shes hungry last night she fussed and got up around 4 to eat and she normally sleeps through till 6 or 7am so maybe she is growing I hope her sleeping through returns as i felt so lucky that she did it in the first place not to mention it gave my sanity back Ha! Being a parent sure is a learning experince Eh!!
