i was just wondering if any of you have a baby with acid reflux. if so, what were ur baby's symptoms? is there any way of telling that ur baby might have it? my baby's been screaming a lot when she eats lately. it used to be just at night, now it seems like it's any time of day. she quiets down if i hold her on my knee facing me and talk to her and sing and stuff. then she acts like she wants to eat so i put her on my br___t but then one or two sucks later she breaks away and howls, arching her back. then she latches on again and does the same thing. sometimes she'll even gag on the nipple, which seems really weird. this will go on for a good hour or two until she finally exhausts herself and falls alseep. letting out a little burp doesn't seem to help much. could it be acid reflux or is she just tired? i posted a similar question to this before, i know, just wondering if you had any new info to help me.

it does sound like reflux. My son had a mild case of reflux his ped. told me to put cereal on this bottles and to keep him sitting up as much as possible after every meal. But that was my son, you b___st feed so I am not sure what your ped. would tell you what to do. In anhy case I am sorry to hear what you are going through. I know its not easy.

Sure sound like reflux to me. My son takes zantac and I do all the things monica does. You definitely want to ask your doc about it soon. Babies with reflux want to eat, but it is painful so they arch their backs and scream and fuss, so they do not get enough food. That leads to poor weight gain. The docs can help you get baby on track before it gets worse.
