Hi KH
I understand I was afraid too. I stopped at 10 weeks and they say to do one arm at a time and see how they do it. But me I just bought him a sack and just didnt swaddled him one night and he slept the same amount of hours. In fact he slept with arms straight up like telling thanks mom for setting me free. I know some babies need it longer and I have read that some get swaddled up to 7 months. Its not a bad thing if your baby needs it keep doing....

I swaddled my daughter until she was about 10-12 months old. Yep. Looked totally silly, but that's what she loved. She's seven now, and does not have to be swaddled!! :o)

We stopped, at bout 12 weeks mostly because of the excessive heat in our apt. It only was a problem for a couple of days. The moro reflex is much less now too. If you want to try without, do it on the weekend :-)

my lil girl is 14 weeks and i wrap her in a blankie with velcro fasteners, i leave her arms out. She knows when she is wrapped at night it is bed time, i put her to bed at about 830 after her feed and she falls asleep on her own and sleeps for 10 hours!!! isn't she an angel

I never swaddled. My son never complained and liked to sleep in his crib.

That's really amazing that u swaddle ur babies for such along time..My son didn't wanted to swaddled since he got 2 weeks. he hated it like any thing he used to scream, kick and pull his hands until i freed him then he used to fell asleep on his own..i even bought him special swaddling blankets but never used them...
