oh gosh...are you serious...I have not have time to read or watch the news. I am the most paranoid person when it comes to disease. I am so over protective over my son.....Do they mention anything on how to prevent it?

Well, for starters, don't house live chickens or come into contact with other people's chickens, just to be very safe..... Honestly, I don't know what they have in store for us as far as prevention goes, should it spread from human to human. I am a vegetarian so I don't worry about contaminated meat, should that ever happen.

well I dont live with chickens or know anybody that does.....but I do eat them.....and my 5 year old cant live without eating chicken everyday.

That kind of stuff freaks me out. I don't live near any chickens, but if human to human contact will spread it, we're all introuble.

So scary! I just saw on TV that we don't import ANY poultry, so contaminated meat isn't what they are worried about. It's that if a person with the reguar flu comes in contact with the bird flu, the two could mix, mutate, and start spreading easily from person to person. I think all the media hype makes it worse than it is, but it's still a scary idea.

not concerned at all. experts are even trying to tell congress that this is not going to happen any time soon and to stop freaking out the people. it hasn't even begun to mutate at all into a human-to-human disease yet.

I think Bush is getting people freaked out about this bird flu to get our minds off the war in Iraq, IMEO. :-)

i'm refusing to worry about it at this point in time. i tend to agree with you Beccah but maybe it's because i've always been skeptical of this administration. :-) if anyone wants to scare the c___p out of themself you should read Fast Food Nation. the whole thing is a real eye-opener, but there's a section about e coli that's just awful to read about. now that stuff is scary.

my advice about your worries about all these diseases , - don't have anymore children . because if the future is nothing more than ma__ses of shots and more in the future just to stay a little healthy and alive then the purpose of having children is defeated . Welcome to science the biggest manufacturers of an unhealthy world when Einstein one of the greatest said 'maybe God meant us to be Gardeners not scientists' because although he discovered the theory of relativity it became abused in the wrong hands just as any science is .

no he didn't say that. he said not bad not great but he also said go poke yourself full of holes and go hang out at the docs office and camp out there because there are probably many shots you missed out on . I can't believe anyone could be so f**ked up about disease , Pandemics etc . why are you such a walking drug store ?
