this might be one of those silly questions but when do you stop burping a baby my daughter is 5 months old and sometimes she doesnt burp. i was just wondering when you stop burping them.

Jadyns Mommy - October 10

I stopped burping Jadyn about 4 months. Now after she is done eating, she usually lets out a huge burp on her own just when I pick her up or set her up on my lap.

I can't wait for that day. I find the burping thing exhausting, and my baby hates it too. I can sit patting her back for half an hour sometimes, and still no burp, even though it's obvious she has wind.

Amaya's mommy aka Stephanie - October 11

I also stopped when Amaya was about 4 months. She now does it on her own. Lissi~ Try lifting her arms one at a time about 5 times each and then burp your baby. That always worked for me. It was like it helped loosen up the air!

My son burps best when he sits up leaning forward a little. I don't pound on his back. I just sit him like that until he burps and I say--Give me burpy. I did this right away from what I can remember.
