are any of you br___tfeeding and have colic? for 2 1-2 my lil guy was perfect now at 3wks he seems to be colicy. what are you doing for him/her. i am giving him mylicon drops which seem to help. i hate when he cries with his belly. i feel so helpless

im not sure if there is much more you can do if you supplement with formula try enfamil gentalease (sp)

could be somthing you are eating? mine was the same way but gas drops helped and burping him a lot.

i try to watch what i eat. i have a coke every am an tea or water the rest of the day. he is only that way usually late in pm around 6-10
|

My 4 wk old is starting to do this also. Now today she's not napping well at all and fussing a lot and I know it's gas cus she's flairing her legs and arching her back and I tried the gas drops and she's been pa__sing a lot of gas but she's still fussy. I feel so bad for her. Sometimes just lifting her legs for her makes her pa__s gas. It's pretty funny. I've tried everything but sometimes nothing helps. I'm taking her to the doc today for her first appointment so I'll let you know if she has any other suggestions. I too am b___stfeeding and I try to avoid caffiene and I drink a lot of milk and I wonder if that's bothering her.

thanks. we seem to have the same routine. up every 3 hrs and changing diapers a lil mor frequent than that.

My doc said the gas problem is common and to try the drops but she said sometimes they work an sometimes they don't. She said to avoid tomato sauces, greens, cabbage, and to try to lay off the milk and see if that helps. Otherwise she didn't say much, just to keep burping her, moving her legs when she gets ga__sy, etc.

Dawn, I feel your pain. Every once in awhile, he wakes up screaming, until he pa__ses gas. He'll be 3 weeks on Monday.
