None of the above:) They make special biter biscuits for babies in the baby food aisle. I use Gerber and an organic kind. One a day, or every other day is fine. Most have sugar so Iimit their use. Whatever you choose, make sure it's salt free and is not made from processed bleached flour (saltines).

When my daughter was 8 months, I started giving her Arrowroot cookies, and cereal cookies (Farley's, I think they were called). The cereal cookies soften, so there is minimal risk of choking, and the Arrowroot just taste so darn yummy. I din't use them as meal replacement, just as a snack once a day.

The biter biscuits are great! Amaya loves them. They also make tiny finger food things flavored like veggies or fruit. At 8 months she can pick them up and feed herself. The biter biscuits are hard enough that she can not bite them off and choke.

Whole Foods sells Arrowroot cookies. Many grocery stores have them in the organic aisle. Are they by the company Seeds of Change? They are yummy!

Narcissus is right, you can find the Arrowroot cookies by the organics, usually around the produce. Those Farley's cereal cookies I find in the baby food isle. I'm in Canada, so not sure of where to find them other than Safeway.
