Eating Too Much At Daycare

I have a 4 month old in daycare. When he is at home with me, he eats a bottle every 4 hours. At day care he eats about 2 ounces more than what he eats at home and eats about every 3 hours. Now, I just got back from vacation where he ate every 4 hours for 12 days. So, I think that my little angel is scamming the ladies at daycare to feed him more often. I tried to explain this to the ladies, but it keeps happening. I don't want my baby to get used to eating too much or when he is not hungry...any suggestions?

well, if he's eating it, then he must be hungry! Is he on pablum yet? Fill him up on that before daycare, maybe he wont want to eat extra milk?

Are they feeding him to keep him quiet b/c they are too lazy to play with him or attend to his needs? I would change daycares if this does not get fixed overnight. I am sure you do not want an overfed, understimulated child. Is there some way that you can observe them without them knowing? I bet you wish you could be a fly on the wall. I do not blame you.

I agree with Narcissus. They are just to lazy to see what your baby wants. Maybe he is wet, bored, sleepy. Has he had any diaper rashes? Maybe they are feeding him instead of changing his diaper...
