If I didn't have WIC, I'd probably spend about $80 a month on formula, because I'd use the store brand. Kids vary a lot in how much they eat...my first was a bottomless pit, we had WIC and still spent $50 a month on formula, but my second doesn't eat nearly as much. She's still gaining weight at the rate she should, she's just not huge like my first was as a baby.

Oh my!! I happen to read this post-I had no idea how much formula cost!!! I just never looked or payed attention. What a rip off!!! Thank god I'm b___stfeeding. I know some people can't, but if I couldn't I would try pumping if possible.

I spend about $125 a month to stay with the same brand. Switching with coupons could save monry, but could cause tummy troubble. I have a friend that is b___stfeeding and she is doing great I wish I would have stuck it out. I started out b___stfeeding with bottle supplements and my milk just went away. I could be spending all this money on other stuff!

I say we spend about 50 - 60$ a month on formula. It's about $20 for a 700 gram can of Similac Advanced, powder.

wow, how do some people go from $50-60 per month and some $150?

I'm in Canada... Dont know if that makes a difference or not though! Maybe its cheaper here? Also, some babies eat a lot more than others.

I average about $120 or less with an 8 month old. That includes fomula used for cereal too but no less than $100. Also, I would choose 1 kind of formula and stick with that. Changing formulas can sometimes upset baby's tummy's.

I think i should switch to powder. i use the concentrated liquid and formula costs me about $150 a month. Yikes!! Add that to baby food and diapers. I have never seen a free sample!!

here in aus it gets cheaper once they are past 6 months, we had s26 gold here and heinz gold, i would go between the two and all was fine depending what was in stock so to speak. I was told by my health nurse formulas are all the same pretty much, some more known brands just cost more
