Have you tried diluting the juice with water. This will help to decrease the calories and you can give more of it.
I saw on T.V a baby who was gaining a lot of weight and the social worker thought that the mother was over feeding it and sent it to the hospital. The mother though was not. The doctors also found that under controlled feedings the child still gained weight. By two years old he weighed 80 pounds and doctors had a hard time trying to find out what kind of obeseity it was to give the appropriate drugs for his body. I think that parents in general do worry about their child's health and diet. In my oppinion I would ask the doctor or local nurse on how to prevent overweight and ask about the pop idea. I went on a diet once for a year and drank water or diet pop. I went from a size 16 to 8, my kidneys felt kind of funny but I'm o.k . For an infant or child I don't know about how it would affect them if they drank too much.

I know personally that my son won't have soda. I don't see how there is any good in it. I grew up not having soda and can't say I'm missing anything. I grew up on a dairy farm so we drank LOTS of milk. Nobody in my family is obese and nobody has had a broken bone.
