there is a warning on the exersaucer, it warns not to let baby have his feet flat on the bottom. Does anyone know why? is it bad for babies to be standing flat footed?

I tried to look it up, but all I could find was stuff about how much safer the exersaucer is than a walker. I looked on my exersaucer and it doesn't have a warning like that, just one that says not to use it as a flotation device or a sled. You know how the base has those feet that you can fold out...maybe it's possible, if the feet are folded up, for the baby to stand up and lean far enough over to tip it over, if his feet have enough leverage against the bottom. Just a guess, though...I used one all the time with my first daughter and never had any sort of safety issues.

I remember seeing this when my daughter had hers. I think it is just because they could get hurt while bouncing in the saucer. You should have it adjusted to where your childs toes are touching the bottom. The way I am typing this is not at all what I am trying to type LOL. Anyway just make sure your childs knees are not bent and your child is pushing with his/her toes.
