Am I Close To Starting Labor

I am 37 1/2 weeks pregnant with my first baby and I have been having diarrhea..cramps..back pain and I found out on Tuesday that I am 50 percent effaced and 1 centimeter dilated and the babys head is -1 station..I also had bloody show so I was wondering if my labor is nearing?

Well, I've been 1 cm and 50% effaced for almost a month now. (I'm 40w3d), so that doesn't mean much. I think that if you have bloody show, though, it means labor will be starting within a few days. Good luck!

There is no telling. I am 38 weeks, 4cm and 80% effaced at the doctor can easily feel the bag of waters and the baby's head. I have already lost my plug and I am still here. It's just a waiting game.
