When they perform an epesiotomy do they numb the area? Do you feel when they are cutting you?

They usually do give a local anesthetic.

And no, there is usually so much pressure on the area from the baby trying to come out that you don't when they are cutting.

Michi, they numb you first the only thing you feel is the first 1 or to little pokes of the needle. You cant feel them cutting at all. An if this is you first baby you'll be so into seeing your baby that the dr numbing you wont bother you at all. Gongrats and gl. Do you know what your having? I'm having my 3rd all girls and now I'm done, lol.
