Started losing my mucous plug a week ago already and I still a bit at the moment. I've had bad contractions where my whole belly tightens and then relaxes again. Some contractions where 15 minutes appart and some 20 min. Baby engaged for over 3 weeks already. Oh I am 39 weeks today. Anybody know how long before actual labour will start? Another issue is that I can stand quite a lot of pain. I am just scared that I will wait to long to go to hospital and acutally already be in the beginning stages of labour and not even knowing it. They say if you are to far in labour they can not give you an epidural. Don't want that to happen. Still hurts even if I move around, sit down on birthing ball and so on.

Hi Preggiebelly, I am 39+4 and have had irregular contractions for quite sometime, Have tried almost all the natural ways I've read to induce. Lost my plug, have had a bloody show. I'm still waiting. I wonder too if I'm in labor and don't know it. My friends say "Oh you will know" my midwife told me I could go at anytime, that was last week. so we wait. Good Luck to you.
