sorry if this is long and a bit hard to understand!!! well im 36 weeks and as some of you know i went into preterm at 32 wks but they managed to stop my labour. well i was back at L+D last night, was getting contractions about every 10-20 minutes throughout the day then about 5pm they were coming every 5 mins lasting about 35 secs so rang up and was told to go up. went there about 8.30pm and was put on monitor, by now they were coming every 3-3 1/2 mins but not majorly painful. they did an internal and said my cervix was still long (about 2 cm i think they said) and i was 2 cm dilated. they said head was engaged (2/5 palpable), they wrote something in my notes about being at BS +4 but im not sure whether that means she is ready to come out im sure that means at station +4 any ideas anyone????? my question really is has anyone ever been told all this and if so how long till they went into active labour?????? cheers xxx

charliepaulchloe, i'm not sure what all the #'s mean but i too was at hospital the other night. i was having hard contractions for 4 hours every 5-10 mins. turns out, i was dehydrated. did they mention that to you? guess that's a possibility. lack of fluids makes you contract. good luck!

no i was hydrated okay still getting the contractions about every 3-5 mins so i guess i cant go by them to know when i am in active labour.x
