I know this is kind of a silly question, but is there any way to help your self dialate?

there's NO gaurantee. but I've heard doing squats...or just staying in the squatting position helps because of gravity and the pressure on your cervix. though I've been doing it and havent had any change in 3 weeks!

Thank you, I haven't tried that yet and I do believe I will try just about anything right now just so when I go to the doctor he can actually say "your dialating" instead of no changes. I am getting tired of this!

Yes, actually. Relax! I learned this on my fourth delivery. If your are in labor listen to soothing music and have no interuptions. If not in labor, pleasurable intercourse is a great help too.

I am 38 weeks and I would just like a little change is all. Just so that feel like this baby is eventually going to come out.

AshleyD I am 36 weeks 3 days along. I am dilated at 1cm right now and 50% effaced. I have been quite active. I walk a lot and dh and I have s_x maybe 1 a week. Just try walking and being really active. Gravity works wonders some times I think
