My mother has always did it through my pregnancys and they were always right.I have 1 boy and 2 girls and a son on the way.She held it over my wrist if it swings long ways it was a girl and side to side was a boy.I could have it backwards but i believe thats right though.

I believe this works, if it swings in circles it is a girl, if it swings the same direction as your wrist it is a boy and if it swings across your wrist it means a miscarriage or a lost baby, I tried it and it showed the 2 miscarriages I had before my daughter and son were born.

No I dont think it will maybe experiment with new materials to see what will work.

Hi. Yes, this works! I have done it on several people. It counts their miscarriages and all. I have yet to see it be wrong. I had done this when I wasn't even pregnant and it shows what you should have in the future. I was then pregnant and it would only count the one baby. 5 weeks later, I had a miscarriage and did this test a couple days ago and it goes back to what it always has read counting my miscarriage. I think this is very true. Up and down is a boy, side-side is a girl. circles is in between when babies.

The test does work. I was a skeptic until I did it to my best friend. She was not pregnant at the time and was not married. The test spun in a circle, then went to a boy and straight to a girl without circling again, then it circled and went to a boy. She got married since then and became pregnant in July. We joked that it would be funny if she were pregnant, not even thinking about the pencil test. She went for an ultrasound after we discussed twins and, wouldn't you know, she is pregnant with twins -- no fertility drugs. The pencil test showed she would have two kids at one time. Amazing. She is not going to find out the s_x of the children. My money is on a boy and a girl!

I just read other responses and I thought it was circle for thinking, swing across the wrist for a girl and swing the other way for a boy. That's how we did it anyway.
