I will tell you......labor is different than what I expected. I was expecting to feel some tightening for contractions.....and never once felt a tightening with my labor (this was 2.5 weeks ago). All I felt with labor was menstral type cramps that got stronger and stronger and closer together. There was never any tightening sensation with me. I did not totally belive I was in labor when they first started ( they are not bad in the beginning).....its not until I was about 7cm dilated that they really started to hurt me ( and thats when I asked for the epidural). My labor went really fast, and I hardly had a break in between my contractions....which is probably why I ended up asking for the epidural. It freaked me out how fast my labor was going. Anyway, the epidural is really great!!! This is coming from someone who (thought) her entire pregnancy that I was going to go "all natural", but I am soooo glad I got the epidural.

yeah i had an apidural with my daughter. i think this is why it is bugging me so much cause my waters didnt break with her, the midwife did it
