With my first baby, my water broke after an energetic lovemaking session with dh. It actually sprung a leak, didn't gush or anything. My second baby, my bag of water was broken by my OB while I was being induced. So, my water was broken by men both times.....thankfully when my OB did it, he used the hook gadget. :)

with my dd i was at my neighbors house sitting in a car discussing what i was going to make for dinner. I had cramping all day which turns out were contractions oops. hehehe. I actually thought i wet my pants and got up and went to the bathroom really quietly. It was only leaking, but by the time we made it to the hospital it had completely burst soaking my pants and the car seat. (i was 36 1/2 weeks).

I woke up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom and realized I had just "wet the bed" so to speak....

With my first I just finished taking a shower and all the sudden I felt like I had peed myself. The second time I was overdue and was actually in the hospital parking lot to go take a non stress test and it broke right there. Worked out pretty good!

*SRIGLES* that's pretty much what happened with my first. I woke up thinking i had peed the bed.... i couldn't decide whether to wake up my boyfriend or not until i stood up and flooded my bedroom floor. I never realized until then how much fluid is actually in there!

I was on the toilet having many a No2 (tmi) when pop it decided to start leaking out, i thought it was wee at first and then decided that, that much pain when weeing wasnt normal :o)

I was getting out of bed to go to the washroom and thought I didn't make it...got up to the bathroom and realized what had happened. I was 38 weeks

I was actually at the hospital for yet another round of nonstop contractions. I had several incidents of preterm labor and/or bh contractions that would come less than 5 min apart and not stop. Even though most of the time I knew I was not in labor, the constant contractions of the uterus are like constantly moving any muscle...it HURT. heee. my doc always made me come get checked...cuz ya never know. Anyway I was walking the halls while already 1cm and i heard a giant POP noise and it felt like something broke but i didn't feel anything coming out. When hubby and i got back to the hosp room, we told nurse of the incident and she didn't check the fluid with one of those strips but noticed that there were a couple drips on the floor...she thought that she did that with a wet towel that she had gotten me earlier....and i guess she could have... so she told us , as usual, we can stay and wait it out, or we can leave and come back cuz i was now contracting every 5 min for like 6 wks.... so we left...and went food shopping.... now walking brings on labor...does it ever!! I found my contractions getting stronger and stronger and begin feeling a little wet with each one. I started to put two and two together that the drips in the room had been mine. I was just telling hubby that we should go back to the hosp when GUSH my water broke all over my pants...in the middle of the grocery store!!!!! Horrified, we left the shopping cart and ran to the car and went back to the hospital... my pants and car seat were soaked by the time we got there. And let me verifiy that without all that cushy water keeping the uterus filled up, those contractions get STRONGER...yeow! :o) I was 37 wks.

with my first i convinced d/h to do the deed trying to bring labor on but nothing after that we just went to bed. i got up about 20 mins latter not being able to sleep so i went out to watch tv i only watched about 5 mins worth then decided i could sleep but i just thought that i couldent cause its sometimes a sign of labor so i thought i was just tricking meself. anyway i got into bed lay down about two seconds latter i herd this loudest pop sound an a funny feeling down there so i wait there a second an thought what the hell was that got up an bam it just flood out like nothing believe it or not my husband was actually woken up by the pop sound it was that loud. seccond time my waters didnt brake till i was fairly into labor. interesting fact only like 1 in 10 of womens waters brake before they go into labor! anyway good luck

Mine broke just a little. I had a trickle... 'bout time, too, b/c I was 41 weeks 6 days LOL! The real breaking (gush) came about 20 hours into labor.

My water was broken both times by the dr when I was in labor to get things going. First time it just flowed...this past time it was about to break anyway before she broke it...I had a bulging bag...and it literally (sorry if TMI) squirted several feet past the end of the bed and I swear my body felt about 10 lbs lighter after they broke my water both times!

My waters broke about 30 minutes after we decided that my induction had failed and we were going to wait until morning to try again. I had eaten 2 mouthfuls of my evening meal and sent my hubby put for food 30 secs earlier! I felt a sharp 'kick' half way up my belly which I commented onto my hubby that dd was still bullying me. It was the membrane rupturing but as it was high up I didn't leak...that was until the next contraction (after hubby left) when it was like Dam Busters! It was the same gushing with each of the next 5-6 contractions! THe bed and floor were soaked! I gave birth 3 hours later and there was another huge gush right after dd slid out! I was huge but had a 6lb 13oz baby. It was all water!!! I thank my lucky stars that I wasn't in the supermarket when it happened! lol

First time was only time out of the hospital and it was 7 am in morning, thought i wet the bed, and got up and realized what was going on. I stayed on the toilet for a couple of hours slowly leeking (no real gush) and reading comic books while my mom who was visiting called the doc. I then opened a diaper of my nephews and put it on my underwear and wore it to the hospital :)

I was at the hospital in labour in teh bathtub. I was trying to get the attention of a nurse because I had to push, couldnt stop myself really. So I was 10cm, in teh bathtub, the nurse walked in, I opened my mouth and my water burst. 20minutes later baby was here! I must say, it was quite clean! Not much to clean up after that! Qutie different stories from everyone!

i was in bed sleeping when mine broke. at first it was a leak, i was dreaming about it and then i woke up real fast and rolled on my back and then it gushed! and off to the hospital we went!

I was in bed and i sneezed ! Then.....came the trinkles...
