I Am Spotting For Last 7 Days

I am 6 weeks 4 days and have been spotting since last 1 week (1 day there was light bleeding also for 5-6 hours). At the 1st ultrasound a week back, they found a yolk and sac but it was too early to see the fetus. But they also saw a blood clot near the sac. Can my spotting or bleeding be due to this clot and if so, is this unrelated to the pregnancy? what can be the cause of the clot? I can´t make up my mind as to whether to go for a 2nd ultrasound now or wait and watch for another week. Can anybody help?
