I am about 4 weeks pregnant. Does anyone know the affects that nicotine would have on the baby? I am trying to quit smoking, but I didn't know if using a nicotine patch would affect the baby or not. Thanks for your help.

Nicotine and nicotine skin patches may cause harm to the fetus. You should talk to your doctor before using the patch. IF you feel you can't quit cold turkey, also discuss with him/her which is more likely to harm the baby, the patch or smoking.
