Skin Pigment Lost After Emergency C Section

I had an emergency c-section and had IVs all over my arms. Now I have a patch of lost pigment on the arm, in the same area where one of the IVs used to be. The dr suggested early stages of Vitiligo OR irritation from IV that should go away? Small difference, hah? Anyone had this happen? pls help!!
