I have been spotting for the past 3 weeks. It started off pinkish tan and in the last week has changed to dark brown. I just had an ultrasound. I am currently 7w5d - everything looked good, the heart rate was 157; however, the Tech said that I had some blood around the sac - not alot, but that is probably what is causing the bleed. Does anyone know what my chances are that my baby will be ok? What causes a bleed around the sac and if there is anything I can do to try to stop it? I just lost a baby at 35 weeks due to fetal maternal hemorrhage - I just can't bare to lose another baby. Anybody with any input would be appreciated.

Hi..I also have blood around the sack..I feel so confused, hormonally a mess..I lost a baby in the summer at 22 weeks... Happily I am the mother of six healthy wonderful children...but now I am 12 weeks pregnant and have been spotting on and off for two weeks..No doctors have been able to explain the blood, nor the spotting..I am an educated individual with no one to turn to..today I am calling various midwives..I will post any information I come up with HANG IN THERE LISA...

Joanne,
Where you able to find anything out. Just when I start to think it's over - it starts again. I went almost 2 days with very minimal spotting - barely noticable and today back to the same brown c___p. This is my 4th pregnancy and I've never experienced this. The u/s tech didn't tell me much and I haven't heard from my doctor yet. How are you doing? I havent' even told anyone that I'm pregnant - I'm afraid I'll jinx myself. Please let me know if you found out anything.
