Brownish Discharge And Cramps

I am at about 18 wks. A few days ago, I started spotting (which was brownish colored) and having cramps (which are stronger than the ones I had in the 1st trimester, but not as strong as period cramps). Does this mean I'm miscarrying? Most of the time the discharge only shows up when I wipe and it seems to slow down if I lay down for a while. The dr didn't seem to think this was a problem, but the cramps worry me. Any suggestions?

The cramps may be just round ligament pain? I can understand your worry. Can you go in to the office to ease your mind?

Hey Marie, I truly hope all is well, but if it was me and I couldn't see my doctor pronto I would go to an emergency room just to be sure.
Some women do spot during their pregnancy and all is well, and yes cramps do happen in second trimester due to stretching. But if you're having low dull back aches and it feels reminiscent of a period I would go to Doctor or Hospital just to be sure.
I speak from experience that I had- and yours may not be the same at all but seeing your doctor will be the best way to ease your mind
Take care best to you
Lis.
