Tayna~ I had an u/ss to confirm that the IUD was there and it was but really high up into my uterus. hence the pain I was getting . it sounds like your is moving around inside I would if needed get into the ER ASAP. I dont see why your OBGYN didnt have you come in this week......As soon as you are able to have your OBGYN remove IT!! I know that you might not wantto have it removed but it might be for the netter..and no needto thank me Tanya i am always glad to help others when I am able too.......Holly please go to the ER if you get the pain again. we worry about you and the others here too

I really dont feel like I should go over what could be gas pains LoL I think I am just a little over stressed but if I feel any pains that I really cant take i will go.. Thank you all.. I will post after my app. tommorow I am hoping and praying the babys alright .. I loved the IUD too up til the point it come out and I didnt know it and got pregnant. And know I am high risk and the baby because of a malfunction it makes me so mad.. I have two cousin on the mirena and they going to have theres checked out and maybe removed there are so many risk that I know I should have thought and researched more about but when you can have a birth control 99.9 effective and dont have to take anything hell who wouldn't jumpon that wagon..

Hey everyone I am back and its not totally confirmed yet but the doctor says he thinks the pregnancy is ok I go back in 2 weeks for a ultrasound to see if my little bun is in the oven. He said my number are not quiet doubling but good enough to say it is a pregnancy ... Luckily the IUD didnt do its job who knows how long it had been coming out .. if the Iud was in place who knows what would happened to the baby

I FOUND OUT AT 9 WEEKS THAT I AM PREGO AND I HAVE THE 10 YEAR IUD. THE DOC GAVE ME A CHOICE, LEAVE IT IN AND SEE OR TAKE IT OUT AND LOSE THE BABY. I CHOSE TO LEAVE IT IN BECAUSE I RATHER CHANCE IT THAN CAUSE A MISCARRIAGE. THE IUD IS NOT STRONG ENOUGH TO RUPTURE THE SAC, YOU HAVE A RISK OF A YEAST INFECTION, BUT STILL CHANCES OF A NORMAL PREGNANCY IS HIGH. MY IUD IS RIGHT UNDER THE UTERUS, SO HOPEFULLY IT WILL GET PUSHED ASIDE OR COME DOWN SO HE CAN PULL IT OUT.

I just came back from my ultrasound and it came back negative now the doctor doesn't know what's wrong so there going to run more tests i'm just glad to know I"m not pregnant, I still think I might get my iud taken out maybe my body will go back to normal good luck to everybody!

Hopefull I wouldnt blame you at all.. Even though I didnt want to get pregnant dont mean I dont the baby.. Keep us updated and I hope everything goes good. Steph- I hope all goes well I have a ultrasound in 2 weeks I am hope and praying they can see the baby if not something is really wrong. meanwhile I am still bleeding and makes me worry even more ... To all. Does anyone know or have heard of why the IUD causes a negative pregnancy test. Why is it that so many are coming up pregnant with a negative pregnancy test reading

Gwen, I wouldnt of knew if my bleeding wan't messed up and thanks to a blood pregnancy test. I took a test 2 weeks ago it was negative but now it is positive I am still not sure how far along I am.. But my hcg levels are starting out not normal so if you are for sure pregnant your hormone levels are probably slow at moving up.. For example... on a friday my levels where 24 they checked me the following monday they were 37.8 and wed. they where 51.8 so they are not doubling like they are supposed to but the doctor said it is a normal pregnancy and more good news my bleeding has almost stopped.

How is everyone doing? No ones posted in a while as for me I am still bleeding day 11 and I have called my doctors office and trying to get a app. today so they can give me a explanation if they cant give me one I am going off its been 2 weeks since i found out I was pregnant.. They are supposed to call back they better or I am..

Hi there ladies....it is me again...well i go to the doctors today to find out what is exactly going on inside of me....Hubby and I have been talking and we have decided that if everything is okay and it is just my paranoia then we are going to have the IUD taken out anyway, b/c we would like to try for another baby....and if we get the news that I am pregnant, then we will take everything one step at a time....i just know that I have had enough with the feeling that something is wrong...and after taking several tests and all of them coming back negative, i get the feeling that that isn't right either....i wish i had of known that this could be a possibility, these side effects, and the pain, etc...i do not recommend this form of birth control to anyone....it isn't worth it....i will keep all of you posted as to what the dr says today....please keep us in your prayers in hopes that it is my paranoia and nothing serious..... I have had the Mirena IUD for 20 months. During that time I have lost 50lbs on Weight Watchers. I reached my goal weight and have been on maintenance since last October. In the past 5 months I have gained 10 lbs. I wondered if I could be pregnant, but tested negative on the test given to me at my OB appointment last month. I have increased my exercise level and gone back onto the strict WW dieting program. Not only am I not losing weight, but I am actually gaining weight ever so slowly. I think I am losing my mind. I am going to my doctor in a few weeks to have my thyroid tested. Could the weight gain be because of the IUD?

Andi~ I have had the same IUD as toy and i have mine removed 2 weeks ago and ihad gained weight with it i ust returned from my reg dr and was the same weighti was when i saw her back a few nobrgs ago///// I was in pain and now I have more engery and that to clean and play with my kids

I had an ultrasound at 11 weeks and I saw the IUD. It is right under the uterus. I am not going to have it removed because I feel like it would be like having an abortion. I heard the heart beat and so I am going to leave things up to God. The doc said that my chances for a normal pregnancy are high and that the risk for pre term labor are about 13%, but that is not 50%. I think that things will work out. I will keep you posted. I go every 4 weeks for an ultrasound my next one is Aug. 11. The way I look at it is God only gives us what we can handle.

Hello ladies....Well good news, I am not pregnant, and my IUD is still in place, however I have a very bad Kidney infection....so they gave me Cypro that i have to take twice a day for 7 days....after my lab results come back and after i am finished with my antibiotic, i will go back to have the IUD removed....even though it is still in place, she said that it is most like the cause of my pains and kidney infection....I want to thank all of you for your support during all of this...I am very grateful to have such wonderful internet friends who know what i am going through...I will keep all of you in my prayers....Tanya

Hey girls I am going to get another ultrasound today pray for me I really need it today makes day 12 of bleeding and when I called yesterday I expressed my concern and one of the nurses got me in for another ultrasound to see whats going on so I dont have to wait so long to find out. Hopefull- I would do the same if I was you I think everyone would.. You and everyone else are in my prayers..

my story isnt one for a happy ending, i had my paraguard put in after the birth of my 4th daughter.. about 2 years later,,, i became pregnant but didnt know it until i was about 10 weeks. I finally figured out that i was pg and went to my ob.. he tried over a course of 2 days to remove the IUD but it was no use. my cervix was closed to tightly, to make a long story shorter, He consulted a specialist and i was advised to leave it alone because after sevral ultrasounds my baby was fine and the iud was visable. I went EVERY 2 weeks for ultrasounds to keep the doctors updated. Well my story ends at 19 weeks and 5 days.. My son died. The IUD did what it was supposed to do.. it stopped a pregnancy! The iud had moved and punctured his placenta therefore cutting off his oxygen and food supply. so my son , my only son died! The iuds dont prevent you from conceiving, they make your uterus unfavorable for an already fertilized egg.. thus you have the possibility of becoming pregnant each and every month. my advise is to GET THEM OFF THE DARN MARKET!! they arent a form of birth controll, but a legal loop hole for abortion. please ladies be careful.. My son Jonathon is my reminder each day.
