AMS-Do take it easy. 3 months will go by quickly... The only real adjustment for me after the Myo was wanting to have intercourse and being afraid that I wasn't ready or if I would break something inside. You gotta take it slow.... I was told that most of it is anxiety... I had a Hysteroscopy 2 wks ago to remove scar tissue and a fibroid. I go in for a follow up appt, today. Wow, I will be preg within a matter of wks... Hopefully, I will get a schedule, today. Will let you guys know....

Hi AMS thank you and everyone for the words on encouragement. How are you doing? You will be fine..the hardest part for me after the myo was taking it slow..I would feel fine just sitting around and would get up and have to remind myself to walk a little slower..but you will be back to your old self in no time..sometimes I sit and think WOW!! I had major surgery not too long ago and if it wasn't for the scar I wouldn't believe it really happened. Ms. Monet how are you doing..give us an update..I pray everything goes well for you and you will be prego in June..I'm so glad things are working out for you and everyone else..we have been through so much..we deserve a break.. RU..how are you? Hang in there..I know it must not be easy for you..but just think..things will get better. MelissaK..how are you..please post and let us know you are OK..we are all there with you wishing you and your little one the best..please share your exciting story with us..it may be boring to you..but I would sure love to hear about how you are feeling and that everything is going great :) As for me..not to give too much info..but I have had my 2nd period since the myo..and what a big change...my period is very light..which believe it or not..makes me very happy..I feel like I have proof now that the myo went well and I will be able to have a baby..I don't know if anyone remember me saying this..but before i was pregnant..I had no idea I had 2 extra large fibroids and 2 smaller ones..my periods were not painful or extremly heavy..my flow was heavy the first day or two but then it would taper off..I would have cramping and a lot of clots..(sorry if TMI..just trying to help)..but post myo..I have hardly any cramping and no clots..or at least nothing that I notice...and other than the first day its like my period isn't here..I don't even think about it..and I'm not even on birth control yet..well I'm suppose to be I just haven't picked them up yet...I just wanted to share that with you all because I know you girls would understand what I'm talking about. Take care everyone..and as always thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts, feelings, and experience..this little chat we have going on has helped me more than words can ever say.. :)

Thanks Joker and Ms. Monet for your support! I am doing okay, I walked my neighborhood again this morning. I know that I am healing goo because I have no pain. Joker I had a period since my myo and expect another the end of this week. The first day was like a normal cycle and just like yourself, it was light and lasted for 3 days like it use to. I wanted to dance a jig, but I was afraid to move...lol. Stay strong and lets stay connnected!

Hi all - Boring as usual over here. I am 21w2d. At my Level Ii US they found the placenta is having some issues with the scar tissue from my myo (a traditonal myo). So the placenta is spread out. they say this might be an issue later when the baby is beigger and is demanding more from my body. I don't know. DH and I are sort of concerned. Have you gals heard anything like ti sbefore? Other than that, everything is pretty boring.

Hi ladies!! Just wanted to check in and see how everyone was doing. THANK YOU ALL for your kind words and thoughts. It really has meant a lot and keeps me focused on the good in my life and not the bad! :-) I'm doing good- keeping busy (I have gone back to the gym, have been seeing friends and am starting at a new firm tomorrow). Physically, I am feeling good. Joker- my periods since my myo have been wonderful! I can't believe the difference. It really is a pleasure in comparison to what it once was (as crazy as that sounds). I still get cramps but they are not as severe, nor last as long as before. Also, the flow and duration is nothing compared to the past. I can't believe that a period can be like this! AMS- am so glad to hear that you are doing good and that you are healing well. You should dance your jig. You deserve it. lol! And as you said, I have been keeping the faith and am moving on. It's tough- i get my moments of weakness but then i refocus & that changes my sadness to anger. I dont know if this makes sense but I tend to work better under the feeling of anger, rather than hurt. So I just keep redirecting my thoughts when i get mopey and that sets me on the right path. :-) But thank you for being my cheerleader!!!! Ms.Monet- How are you feeling? Hope good. Well ladies, I should get going. I have family coming tomorrow for a week so that should keep me busy too. Big Hug to everyone.

Hello, girlys! Guess what? Aunt Flo came a knockin' at my door this morning before work. Didn't think she was coming for 5 more days... No notice at all... So, I went to see my doctor this morning... Guess what? We are good to go fwd!!!! Yippee!!! Everything looks good!! So, we had to sign hundreds of IVF consent forms then everything was explained about the injections process here and fwd. I will start by taking 2 injections a day of 3F Follitropin which is a natural hormone which helps to develop eggs in the ovaries. I was told that I will start taking it on friday... Boy, the needle is thick and longer than I imagined... I will get injections in the muscle of my arm. I will go back into the office on Monday. They'll do an ultrasound and take blood and this will be repeated everything few days... Wow, I will be pregnant soon in June!!! I am so excited and nervous!!! JOKER-We deserve the best!!! Let's all stay in touch. It's so great to hear updates!!! AMS-Glad you are feeling better. MELISSA-Never heard of anything like this but I will pray for you. Pls, keep us updated!!!! RU-So, good to hear from you!!! Sounds like things are going well! Did you ever confront that guy? Enjoy time with the family!!

Hi everyone :) I'm glad everyone is doing so well..MelissaK...thank GOD everything is boring..I know when I was pregnant there was never a dull moment..a moment of peace there was always pain and worry..I'm happy for you..I know you probably don't want to hear this and I know it is impossible to do..but try not to worry about the scar tissue :) MsMonet..I'm happy all is going well for you..Yea!! I can't wait to hear the good news.. RU..you hang in there also and you let go of that anger..anger isn't good for you..I know it will take some time..but try tolet it go..it is more hurtful to you than it is to him or anyone else. I got a question..did anyone experience cramping..I have this wierd feeling in my pelvic area..it is kind of hard to explainit..I haven't been doing any high endurance activies but i feel crampy..I'm hoping Ihaven't strained my uterus..if that is possible or its not scar tissue.. leet me know if you had any feeling like this. Take care everyone :)

Hi, Joker. I haven't been on here in awhile, but I regularly read the posts. I too am having cramping. I had my myo of Jan. 9. Let me know if you find anything out. My doctor doesn't seem to worried about it. Take care!

MsMonet - May 19

JOKER- When I strained, I didn't have cramping. I had a pulling feeling with.... The only time I had cramping was when my period was going to begin or when I found out Ihad scar tissue. Not saying that this is whats wrong with you. Just sharing.... But remember, I had a remaining fibroid. Call your doctor, Joker if you feel uncomfortable with it.

good morning, everyone... I'm new to this site, but did extensive reading here prior and after my abdominal myomectomy on 05/02/07... had 8 fibroids removed and am 19 days post-op... had one post-op visit at 8 days post-op with my surgeon - uneventful, everything seems fine... HOWEVER, I have what feels like menstrual cramps almost 24/7... everyone says it's the healing process as the uterus is pretty st_tched up (I have pics of the battered organ!)... any comments regarding whether or not cramping is common would be appreciated... thanks and good luck to all - I've read everyone's individual stories and pray that your wishes come true (asap).

MelissaK - May 22

Jeanette - I had AF after having a traditional myo less than 28 days after the surgery. I bet it is AF coming on. Amazing but true, the body just keeps on operating like normal, regardless of your surgeon turning your uterus into meatloaf! (don't worry, it heals fast and forgets!) I had bad cramps the first AF, then later AFs it was no bog deal. I had 3 big 'roids removed, one like a baseball.

Jeanette - May 22

thanks for the response MelissaK... I had the surgery on May 2nd, got my period on May 5th and tested positive this morning (May 22nd) using an OPK... so you're ABSOLUTELY right - the body just keeps on plugging along - thank God... just got back from my second post-op visit and the doc (who's my hero, of course) said I should try to get pregnant tonight, tomorrow, whenever (I'm 20 days post-surgery)... I nearly fell off the examination table... wanted to share the news with everyone as a form of encouragement for all... this doc is ALL positive, ALL the time... why not, I suppose.

Jeanette - May 24

MelissaK... I didn't realize that you were pregnant until a couple of minutes ago when I reread some of the postings - congratulations... do you mind my asking how long after the abdominal myomectomy you became pregnant?... it may be posted, but if so, again I missed it... congrats again - I'm excited for you.

MsMonet - May 28

Going in for my egg retrieval, tomorrow at 7:30am. Egg Transfer will be on friday. Send me some sticky baby dust, girls. Talk to you soon!

MsMonet - May 29

ER went well. Mild cramping. 15 Follicles removed.

MelissaK - May 29

MsMonet _ Holy Cow!! 15 follicles? you're a regular basketball team producer - lol!!! Wow, your chances are through the roof! When is implantation? Jeanette_ I am 23w2d. Congrats to you!! I did get pregnant once after the myo, about 4 months after but the baby never had a HB. That was probably chromosome related and just bad luck. This pregnancy was about 9 months post myo, and I actually had had the HCG test that month (Dec) and my DH and I went for it and got lucky! I had a doc appt on Friday and there is another fibroid in there they say is degenerating, I guess not a big one. Once you get that myo, you have to act FAST because there are tiny ones that grow and grow fast once you get pregnant. It's like a race. I also have some scar tissue from the myo that has made the placenta grow oddly in those areas. But the doc says it looks great, and the placenta is doing a good job and the baby is tracking about a week ahead of dates right now. I can't believe she weighs 1 1/2 pounds. To me that is HUGE (it's my first)! ha ha, can't wait for her to be 10 pounds and waking me at night! Hope everyone is well. Good luck MsMonet!!!
