Question for anyone who knows-is there a treatment for that post tubal syndrome. I am going to the doctors on Friday-but I was looking at all of those syptoms-and I have about 90%. The family doctor thought I had MS, but to me, it looks like this post partum illness. I just didnt know what the treatment was-if any. I dont want to go through the rest of my life feeling like this. I hate it. Any help or input would be much appreciated. Thank you

hi trina, I have also looked this subject post tubal syndrome.I have found that most doctors here in aussi just think you are mad.Un like America who are pushing for women to know all the facts before they have there tubes clamped. It seems that not everyone will suffer this and some people have never been told of a problem or the symptoms.I have only found one gp who would agree with me,and a gyno would not hear of it.I am having mine reversed, and only then, will i know if i have a change in my symptoms.Heres looken forward to better health, normal periods again, and less mood swings and so on.As i have a new partner who has no children,we will also be able to have another child.:-)

Well, I went to the doctor yesterday and sure enough I am pregnant, 5 weeks going on 6 weeks to be exact. He took blood to see how high my HCG levels are. He wants to do an ultrasound ASAP to see where the pregnancy is. He is going to call me today and let me know if the levels are above 1500, that way they will be able to see for sure where the pregnancy is on ultrasound. I told my husband and surprisingly he wasn't upset. He actually played around with the idea of him possibly finally getting his little girl. But if I am pregnant in my tubes, my ob/gyn wants to find out soon so that he can go ahead and give me the medicine to dissolve the pregnancy because he wants to try and save my tube. Then, he is going to have to go back in and reclose the tube that became unblocked. I still have mixed emotions about all of this.

I finally got my period. Thank God. Even though I only have one tube and it is tied, I know there are still possibilities that I could get pregnant. Before I had my tube tied, I had an tubal pregnancy and had to have my right tube removed, then about two months after that, BOOM, even with only one tube, I was pregnant again, 9 months later, my beautiful healthy little boy. I was lucky on that pregnancy but scared the whole time. I figured that it wouldn't be a good idea to go through that again so I signed the papers for the tubal ligation. Plus, I knew that if I were to get pregnant again that it could kill me and the baby cause I can't have a baby naturally, all of mine have been by c-section, 4 boys. I'm just so happy that I don't have to worry anymore, right now atleast, :). Good luck to the rest of you.

I had my tubes cut, tied and burned. My doctor showed me the paperwork yesterday when I went. So he is baffled as to why one of them became unblocked.

i got my tubes clipped 8 years ago, my period was over a week late(i am very regular)but i had really bad cramping. On Sunday I started bleeding and thought it was my period, but on Tuesday it was flowing very heavy, and then just suddenly it stopped. It was like a faucet got turned off. My period usually lasts for 7 days, not 3, and gradually tapers off. I have never had a miscarriage, does this sound like one?

Wow I am so glad I found this site..I really really don't feel good. I took a test yesterday evening and instead of it showing positive or negative it showed nothing. My luck. I have been very sick to my stomach and thought I was going to start today...had very very light spotting but nothing even like a period. I haven't said much to my husband and kids yet because I don't want anyone to be disappointed. My husband talked today about trading in our mini van this weekend for a Camary..think I may have to take another test soon! -)
Congratulations Momto3boys! Keep us posted!

My last blood work showed my beta going down, but since then I am in pain. Not unbearable, but its there, and very discomforting. I told my dr. this yesterday, had another ultrasound, still claim they cant see anything, but I can definitely feel something going on! I am 6 weeks preg. and something should be showing somewhere. My dr. wouldnt give me the methotrexate shot yet, she says it looks like my body is going to take care of this itself, I didnt know that was possible with ectopic pregnancy. Im seriously thinking about going to see another dr. if I dont get some answers soon. I dont want to end up in surgery and out of work for 6 weeks.

Well my doctor called me yesterday and my HCG levels were high enough to get the ultrasound and it showed I had an ectopic pregnancy. So he sent me down to the emergency room to have my blood drawn again to see if my levels were high enough to get the medicine to do dissolve the pregnancy. They were high enough, so they gave me a shot in the hip and I went home after that. So far, I don't feel any pain, just a little nauseated from the medicine and a funny taste in my mouth like I just took an antibiotic. Overall, I feel fine. I had started cramping bad on the right side, which is the side the pregnancy was on, yesterday before my doctor told me to go to the hospital to get the ultrasound. But, and I don't mean to offend anyone, I am relieved that it ended this way because me and my husband didn't want anymore kids and we weren't prepared to have anymore, especially this soon. God has a way of working things out, I guess.

To Missy-Please go to another doctor because I know the pain that you are feeling. I felt the pain yesterday before I found out I had an ectopic pregnancy and received the medicine. My doctor didn't want to take any chances of having to remove my tube especially if I could be given the medicine now. I was only 5 1/2 weeks pregnant and I was still given the medicine. So please go get another opinion. I know if I felt that dull ache that was very discomforting that you also described at 5 1/2 weeks, I can only imagine how you are going to feel a couple of days from now and you are 6 weeks. So please don't take any chances. You can see where the pregnancy is if your HCG levels are above 1500. So stay on your doctor or go to another one.
