Moredd..I am so very sorry to hear of your loss;( ..I can't begin to understand the pain you have gone through with all of your losses..I just went through my first m/c 3 weeks ago and can't imagine going through another one..you must be an incredibly strong woman! Have the doctor's said they could do anything about your recurrent M/C's? The reason I am asking is I have a friend who had an irregular shaped uterus causing her to have multiple m/c's and she had surgery to correct it and now has a healthy baby girl...I am sure you are being followed closely, but wanted to share that information. You are certainly in my thoughts..and again, I am so sorry to hear of your loss.

Hi Mystic..Just wanted to ask you a few questions about endometriosis, if I may! My MD has scheduled my for a laperoscopy this month due to mild tubal blockage on HSG..the HSG actually must have opened my tubes enough because I did finally get pregnant, but unfortunately it ended in m/c ( I too had low progesterone, was put on supos. and then m/c)..You were diagnosed w/ endometriosis..did you have laperoscopy? If so, how long did it take for you to conceive following surgery? How did you feel after surgery..or how long did it take for you to get back to normal routine? Thanks for your help!

Hi Amy - I had a laparoscopy done about four years ago and immediately following that I had to have a laparotomy because things were so bad. They had to remove several cysts and clean up the endo. After all that was finished my specialist put me on the bc pill immediately and I took that non-stop (never took the sugar pills) so I would not get a period. I did that for the next four years as my husband and I were not ready to have kids at the time. This past October I saw my specialist and we discussed my wanting to try to get pregnant so I came off the pill and he told me that if I was not pregnant by five months my chances of getting pregnant on my own were slim to none. I was able to get pregnant on my own within four months so that is a blessing. The laparoscpoy only takes about two days to recover from. It is a relatively quick procedure and the real soreness ends up in your shoulders because they pump your stomach with air so they can get clear pictures of what is going on. That air then moves up to your shoulders because your body is tilted while they do the procedure therefore all the gas moves to your shoulders and that is where it settles. Other than that it should be fine. I wouldn't worry too much about the procedure. I am sure it will be fine. As for my pregnancy - I have to go this coming Tuesday for another blood test and a first u/s. I am very nervous as I don't really "feel" pregnant and I don't know if that is a sign of a m/c. I am still extremely tired and kind of picky with food and what not, but other than that I don't really feel anything. I wonder if I should be? Good luck to you!!!

Yep...I started bleeding last night so I'm off and running with m/c number 2. Maybe progesterone will be something to try next time. There's a local specialist who I've heard great things about, so I guess it's time to meet him. I'm definitely feeling blue but it's not the shock it was last time. It's hard to imagine all that Moredd has been through. I'm crossing my fingers for you, Mystic and Crystal.....that's pretty exciting to see the little one doing a little jig in there. I sure look forward to seeing that too, maybe in a few months.

Crystal-Yeah!! I am so happy for you. Isn't it wonderful to see the baby moving and the little heartbeat! I can imagine you are on cloud 9 and I am truly so very happy for you. Please keep us updated on your pregnancy. I finally reached 12 weeks last Friday-Yeah! After having 2 misscarriages I have been just sure that this would end up the same way too but God is watching over me and looks like I have a healthy baby. I will be 13 in 2 days and my baby's heart beat was 160 but I didn't get to see it on Ultrasound yet-i can't wait! Anyways Congratulations and keep in touch.

Becky - March 9

Mel- I am so sorry. Don't even know what to say to you except for I am praying for you. I hope you know there is still hope-I also had two misscarriages and now I have 2 boys and am 13 weeks pregnant with the third so I'll bet if you get on the prometrium you will have a successful pregnancy. Your in my thoughts and prayers.

Becky - Thank you! I know two gals who each miscarried twice and are now on progesterone and baby aspirin, and they are both well past the 12 week mark. I feel pretty c___ppy right now but that gives me hope that that, like they say, third time's a charm. I'm excited for you that you're past 12 and nearly to 13 weeks. Yahoo for you! Take care.

Hi. I just had a sonogram, It measured 10w 6d, and just 2 days ahead of what I am, growing well. The heartrate was 162 and I could see the little sweetie moving all over, it made me laugh! I was a little sad though because i had a sono at 19 weeks and everything was good, and at 23 week check-up, no heart beat so it was a reminder of seeing my still babyboy on the same machine. My progesterone level is still 18, I will be taken off supplements on march 19, so we'll see how that goes. My fingers are crossed and will remain for next 6 months! Prayers for all of you! ~Renee

This is my first post here. I am 8 weeks and 3 days, this is my 3rd pregnancy, i had D&C last May at 11 weeks because the fetus stopped developing at 8 weeks and the i miscarried in Oct at 6 weeks. i have been on Progesterone with this pregnancy since day one, my last level was 28.8 and HCG of 39,000, i had an U/S at 6 weeks which showed a heart beat. I had M/S since about week 5 but now it has suddendly decreased or gotten better. i am experiencing some pelvic pain but nothing severe, my b___sts are still tender, i guess i just wanted to see if anyone has had similar cic_mstances. i am 38 years old and will be 39 when i deliver. if anyone has any advise please let me know.

Hi Mystic..thank you for your insight and congratulations on your pregnancy! It is nice to hear first hand what to expect..I have had previous abdominal surgery due to diseased gall bladder and it took me a couple of weeks to recover, but I was also very sick prior to the surgery...Anyway, I am glad to not have to miss too much work because of the surgery..if i become pregnant again before the surgery date I can cancel it! Wouldn't that be nice? Good luck and thank you!

I am starting week 7, been a rocky road so far. At 4 wks my progesterone was only 7.7, a few days later went up to 12.6. Last week retested and went back down to 10.3. Today it us up to 10.9 I started taking progesterone and the DR. said that he is not worried about my prog. levels, hcg is 22,000. Had 1st u/s last friday and it measured that I was 6 wks 1 day and we say the heart beat. TOday was the 2nd u/s, exactly 7 days later and I measured only 6 weeks 6 days. HOwever, not only did I see the heartbeat, I heard the heartbeat today! The Dr. says looks good so far. I also had spotting that started at about 5 1/2 wks and stopped after I started the RX. I am trying hard not to worry and stress bec. I know that won't help but I am still concerned about the low prog. levels and the u/s only showing an increase of 5 days over a 7 day period. Has this happened to anyone?

Kelly - March 12

I am sad to say that after 3 wks. of spotting and being on progeterone I went in for another ultrasound Fri and there was no heartbeat this time. It was very devestating after seeing the heartbeat 3 different times and being told everything looked good. I should have been 9 wks, but the baby stopped developing at 8wks. We have a 2 1/2 yr old who will help me get through this. I had a d&c this morning. I am just very upset, this is my third pregnancy my 1st was an ectopic and then I got my beautiful son, but after nine months of trying again it had to ended like this. I am scared to death to even think about ever getting pregnant again!

Kelly - March 13

I am so sorry. It is so much harder after you have seen the heartbeat and they say everything is going good. I wish there was something I could say to you but having been in the same situation, I know words aren't enough. One thing you should take solace in is like you said, you have another child so you do know it is possible for you. Just give yourself some time to grieve. Please keep in touch if you want to talk and I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Becky - March 13

Kelly-the above post is from me-I accidentally put your name in the first box. Take care.

Just wanted to see if anyone is experiencing the same issues that I am? I'm now 8 weeks 2days. I have been on Prometrium since day 20 of my cycle. Started on 100mg now up to 400mg. I have a 3 1/2 yr old son and was on Prometrium with him, but my initial progesterone level was 14 and went up to 56 after 2 weeks. I miscarried in Oct. and was not on the prometrium. With this pregnancy my first progesterone level was 6.6, the next week had stayed the same, then it went up to 8.4, and the 4th week it had only gone up to 8.6. I had an ultrasound at 5wk5dy and everything looked good...hearbeat 125. I had another ultrasound today and everything still looks good and the heartbeat is 179. I have mild cramping at times, but no spotting at all. Now they are not testing my progesterone levels anymore and I don't have another appoint. for 3 weeks. The doctor said since everything looks good in the u/s and my levels are rising (although extremely slow) then I basically just have to wait it out. This is driving me crazy. I have no idea why my levels aren't rising and the doctor doesn't really have any explanations. He doesn't even feel taking prometrium will help and that if you are going to miscarry you will do so even on a supplement. The only reason he prescribed it is because he is in a practice with 10 other doctors and they agreed across the board to prescribe it. I'm trying not to worry and leave it in God's hands, but I'm am terrified of having another miscarriage.
