my heart seems to be sinking. on tuesday afternoon i experienced very light pink discharge after urinating. my ob sent me to the emergency room. after 10.5 hours i left with no concrete answers- except my cervix is closed and the urine test shows im definitely preg. my ob insisted i go in yesterday. once again, no solid answer. he saw a fluid oval somewhere in my uterus. had more blood drawn, and will have to do it again on friday. then i have to wait till monday to find out if everything is progressing correctly. er wouldn't even let me see the ultrasound. ob said the sac measure 7mm. wouldn't even give me an exact amount of time as to how far along. i am beside myself. making myself sick. i am living almost an entire week with no definitive answers...should i call another gyno and run the situation past them. i had heard some spotting was normal.....i have no pain, no cramps. just nauseous from fear.........i feel so selfish saying im glad im not alone.

I am 2 or 3 weeks pregnant and have been spotting brown to pink, sometimes red and only when i urinate. i'm very scared, don't know what to do. I'm glad to read that other women are going thru this.

I know exactly what you two are going through... The day after my positive pregnancy test (I work in a lab and I ran my own), I started spotting. I went directly to the E.R. and spent most of my day there. They drew blood, and told me to come back on Monday for an ultrasound and another blood draw. I went back, and the ultrasound showed a "Yolk Sac", but no heartbeat. I was estimated 5 weeks pregnant. My blood tests came back ok (My HCG levels about doubled in two days.) I spoke with a doctor friend of mine, and she let me know about implantation bleeding. This is when the egg implants into your uterine wall (which is covered with blood and mucous, etc) and the placenta meshes with your blood vessels so that your baby can get nutrients, and exchange waste products. My bleeding lasted for about 5 days. It started out red, and then changed to brown. Also, I noticed it was really stringy... hormones make your body to produce more mucous in your "womanly parts" while you are pregnant. I would definately pester my doctor to draw a quant_tative HCG, if they haven't already, and have another done in two days. Discuss the results with your doctor. If they aren't giving you a straightforward answer, tell them to stop treating you like you are stupid. I work with doctors. Some of them try to "shield" the unknowing population from some of the information that they have. I call these docs "hoarders". And some just don't have a clue. These I call "Morons". You always have the right to seek a second opinion. And to Brooke: What are you doing having s_x at 14??? Honestly, if you were my daughter, I would probably bend you over my knee, and then pay a visit to your "gentleman caller"...

Hi there. I am so glad I found this page. I (according to the dctr.) am 7 weeks and have had spotting. It has ranged from pink to dark brown to like brick in color. I have also had a severe backache.l went for an ultrasound and they told me that the baby has a heartbeat but it is at 95 and should be between 120-160. I was hoping someone on here could provide some rea__surance as well.

I have been bleeding brown, sometimes reddish/pinkish but only when I go to the bathroom as well. When I wipe, urinate, you know. Do you think this could mean that I'm pregnant. My fiancee and I would be very excited, and we've even talked about it. I missed 2 birth control pills, and I wonder if this could just be a result of that but once I read all these posts I am beginning to wonder. I'm so happy for all of you, how exciting. Anyway, this bleeding is common for pregnancy mostly? Thanks much.

No, this bleeding is not common to pregnancy, mostly. It could indicate implantation bleeding, but it could also signify a couple of missed b/c pills, also. I don't mean to burst your bubble, but don't get your hopes up. Most of these posts are probably from women who want to get pregnant, meaning that they are not taking b/c. Yes, you may spot with implantation bleeding, but you may also spot when you miss a pill or two. If you think you may be pregnant, stop taking the pill, live a healthy lifestyle, take your vitamins every day, and see a doc ASAP.

Hi all...i am now 5 weeks pregnant and still bleeding, implantation like. It ranges from pinkish to even a red but tiny amounts each day. The doctors at the hospital have told me it's normal and not to be alarmed. So don't panic all, you will come to learn that it's a part of the pregnancy (for some). You can get some achy cramps along with it. Sit back and try to enjoy all of the pregnancy...although the first 3 are stressful.

I have a question i am 5 days late and took a pregnancy test and it came back negative does that mean I took the test to soon? Does anybody have the similar problems as me?

It depends on when you ovulated. And, remember that conception doesn't happen exactly at the time of intercourse, but possibly up to 7 days later. I would wait a few more days before taking another test. Stress can also send a cycle off rythm. Be patient and relax.

I am so glad I found this site. I am twelve weeks pregnant and at eleven weeks, I had some light red bleeding. After three days in the hospital (they thought I could have a cornual pregnancy-I don't, thank God), an ultrasound, two transv____al ultrasounds, an MRI, and four pelvic exams it was determined that the pregnancy was not cornual and the bleeding was from a clot near the placenta. I saw the baby move and saw and heard the heartbeat. I felt very rea__sured but in the past few days, I have started spotting. The blood is brown so I have to a__sume that it is old blood from either the clot or all of the medical procedures, but it is still so scary to see blood during pregnancy. This is my first pregnancy so I don't know what to expect, and all of your stories have been so helpful.

im 6 weeks and when i go to the restroom the toilet paper is a light pink i called the doctor and they r having me go do an ultrasound in the morning.

5 wks pregnant. 28 yrs old and my 1st pregnancy. Had some light cramping similar to menstrual cramps for 3 days but dr said that as long as I was not spotting it was ok. Apparently it was the time I should have been on my next period. The cramping has subsided but today just saw light pink spotting after wiping?? My 1st ultra sound is scheduled for next week and I'm very worried. :/
