I'm 7 weeks. I had similar symptoms, and my doctor told me that it's okay if it's brownish or light in color. But if it's bright red that it could be a miscarriage.

I have never been pregnant, butim pretty sure i am. I read your question and that doesnt seem to be a bad thing. If you were to miscarrage you would have a heavy, heavy period and you wouldnt get another one. But you honestly should go to the doctors. Just incase. asap.

I am 6 wks pg with my 2nd and I am having faint pink spotting after wee. I also had a small white and pink clot. I did not know I was pregnant with my first until I was 11 wks pregnant (!!) - because I had very very light spotting/bleeding - my daughter is now 2 1/2. I think strain causes the spotting to get worse. Taking it easy is really all you can do about it - so do it! Talking to your doctor can be really rea__suring - sometimes, not so rea__suring. Just hang in there and keep your mind on other things.

I took a peg test a week ago and it came out positive. That same afternoon, I started with very light pink spotting after going potty with mucus which stopped later that afternoon. I made an appointment with my OB and she said that it was probably just implantation bleeding. I now notice that after I have a bowel movement I have the pink spotting. This morning when I went to the bathroom it was reddish/brown. My OB appointment isn't until mid december. Not sure If I should call my OB or just wait it out.

Took a pregnancy test it was post_tive went to the doctor two days later and it was negative. I still have not gotten my period. Do you think i am pregnant?

I have been having spotting on an off since I found out I was pregnant. Only when I wipe. The first time (week 5), they thought it was implant bleeding. Ultrasound had a heartbeat. The second time (week 7), I went to the ER and they could not find anything wrong? The ultrasound had a heartbeat. The third time (this time - week 8), I have been spotting on and off when I wipe since Friday (5 days). I have my third ultrasound on Friday, 11/25. They hope to see a heartbeat again... They can't figure out why and tell me to watch it, so I WORRY all day and night that it will get worse.... This is crazy.... I has a blighted ovum in June of this year so I am MORE nervous...

From everything I'm being told and have read it seems that spotting during the 1st trimester is common and may not indicate a problem but it can. Right now I am having similar problems. This is my 4th pregnancy, the first two were successful with no spotting or any problems, my third was a miscarriage at 6 weeks with no spotting just woke up bleeding and cramping and nature took it's course. I am currently 7 weeks pregnant by date and began a slight off and on cramping sensation on my left side only and off and on brown spotting when I wipe, about 4 days ago. I have been in for two US both of which have been inconclusive but one dated my pregnancy one week earlier than my lmp date would. Both US showed possibility of slow fetal heart tones but was told that could also be my pulse. Am told it could just be too early yet to detect heart tones. My HCG levels actually have gone down over a period of a week from 13,000 something to just over 11,000. My ob said that that doesn't necessarily mean the pregnancy is ending because often these levels stop going up and level off. I had never heard that before so part of me wonders if she is just being nice since we still don't know for sure what's going on. I have a more advanced US in about 5 days. I'm also concerned because my b___sts were really sore about 1.5 weeks ago and are less sore now. The waiting is brutal. I feel like my body and emotions are being held hostage. Since I had none of this happen with my two successful pregnancies and am now the big 35 I wonder if this pregancy is likely in trouble.

Am 7 weeks pregnant. Brown spotting once a week. I lost a baby at 5 months last September so was extremely anxious at sight of spotting. Went for an early scan today and was initially told after abdo can that they had "bad news" and baby sac was too small for my stage and that there was no visible heart beat. My heart broke. But they decided to a v____al/internal scan. Was then told "good news", that sac appeared bigger and there is a heartbeat. My cervix was then examined. The brown spotting could be caused by slight erosion of the cervix as cells from inside the cervix can migrate to the outer part of cervix. My advice is to ask for an early scan to put your mind at rest and have your cervix examined. Good luck and hope this helps.

I have not had brown spotting in a week now. Friday, I had an ultrasound and it showed the baby and a BIG heart beat! The baby already has a big head, body and the starts of legs and arms! I love him/her already! I am 9 weeks tomorrow and hope the spotting is DONE! Everytime I got to the bathroom I get SOOO worried!

spotting during pregnancy is completely normal as i was told. im 13 weeks along , and have had my first ultrasound already. the baby looked perfectly healthy! then over the thanksgiving holiday i noticed after urinating that i had some brownish spotting. of course my first reaction was to freak out. but after talking to my doctor she reasurred me everything was ok. she asked if i had any cramping or a temperature. i had none of these symptoms. for the first time in quite a while i felt great! for those experiencing the same thing dont worry. if these symptoms subside then go about your daily routine. if they get worse contact your doctor again and then you might want to consider going to the er. take care and good luck to everyone out there .

I am 6 weeks pregnant today. " December 2005 - Friday. Started bleeding red blood (more than spotting, lighter than a period) for two days. Went to have a US and they said my uterus looked right for a 5 week pregnancy but couldn't see a sac or anything yet - thought it was too early. Did HCG which was at 129. Went for another yesterday and it had climbed to 163 - they like it to be double in 48 hours but he said it was good enough for me to be in with a chance. No pain at all, bleeding stopped, VERY mild brown when I wipe, nothing at all on the pad. I have to have the HCG checked again tomorrow. Can anyone help? I suppose I must accept it is all over. I have 2 sons and have had 3 miscarriages!!!

Hi, I'm at five weeks and started bleeding three days agos... not alot because I don't need pads but not spotting. At first it was brown with clots and then became dark red. I already had a baby and did't have this problem. I had an IUD for 2 1/2 years and what I am experiencing may be due to the fact that I just took it out in September. (I have a friend who had the same problem after taking out her IUD and had a perfectly healthy baby) I have slight cramps and back pain although the red bleeding seems to be stopping. I took several home tests (4)and they all show that I am pregnant. I am going to see the Doctor the day after tommrow to do tests. Good luck to everyone... It's better to have a miscarrage than an unhealthy baby... although waiting to find out what's happenning is a real b___h!!! I'll keep you informed on what the doc says!

I don't even know if I am pregnant. But from the night I think I conceived, I have thought I was. Tired, cramps at 6 days, no implantation bleeding, headaches, hungry, only two instances of neausa, no b___st soreness though; my period was nine days late ultil today; but I took ept tests until 7 days late and they still come back negative! today I experienced light bleeding, but not heavy. One little nit of bright red (I mean the teeniest bit) then brown since then, and mostly when I wipe after urination, though there is a little dark brown on my pad. I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow, but still no obgyn. Does anyone have any thoughts, advice, anything?? If I actually am pregnant, this would be my first. I do want to be pregnant, by the way. Seems like the test would be positive by now? Did you miscalculate your period due date?
