hey girls, i also have some spotting when i wipe. it is more of a brownish color. i had my sch almost 2 wks ago and have been spotting on and off ever since. as i read here and other places it seems to be normal to spot especially after a sch but i know that does not ease our minds because there is so much other stuff to read that says spotting is not good. after such a bad bleed i think we are in pretty good shape if you hear the little heartbeat. it took me a year to get pregnant with the fertlity dr... lots of pills and shots in the stomach to get here. i am over 40 so i am always worried. i just pray and thank God for my healthy baby.God got me through 3 trips to the er for extreme dehydration and ma__sive bleeding and the heart is still beating 165bpm. i am just going to buy a BellyBeat so i can hear the hearbeat mysef everyday. i will let ya'll know how it works. the dr. told me i could bleed off and on throughout the whole pregnancy and have a healthy baby. or the sch could just bleed itself out and then it will be done. who knows??!! i just want to hear the little heartbeat all the time for my own peace of mind. atleast i am still nauseous and sick and can harldy get out of bed. i think that is a good. good luck on monday sadie. i will thinking about you.

I spotted every color from brown to pink while I was healing...I rented a doppler so that when ever I had a panic I could listen to the baby's heart beat which can be picked up by doppler by 10 weeks and it really helped... (22 per month) Like you I went through 3 rounds of fertility treatment to get here also!

Hey all- I'm about 5 1/2 weeks pregnant and I've been doing alot of research about bleeding because I started lightly spotting yesterday with no cramps. I went to the hospital yesterday and they did blood work and did an u/s which showed a sac, but nothing else. I go back next week for another u/s. The doc said not to worry unless the bleeding gets worse and/or I have cramps, but I still am. Also, they gave me a shot yesterday because I'm rh- and my husband is rh+ and this could cause complications with the baby...did anyone else receive this shot? Thanks and it does help to read everyone elses comments and take heart from them.

hi, i am also rh- and i got the shot at about 8weeks at one of my trips to the er. i am not sure when is the right time to get it but i know it is important. i had no bleeding or spotting until my subchorrionic hemmorage and that was really bad and very scary. i think when you go to the dr. to see the heartbeat you will feel so much better and relieved. i also would recommend going to your obgyn to have u/s and testing. they are the real pros on this subject. hang in there.

When I had my bleeds at 11 weeks I received the rhogam shot since I am also rh-....normally they don't give you a rhogam shot until you are 28 weeks...

Thank you for your reply. I'm now 9 weeks. My radiologist friend did a repeat ultrasound last week (at 8 weeks), and the hematoma was gone. I never have any spotting, thankfully. The baby was progressing well, too. Thanks for your reply. It made me feel much better until I could get another U/S. Best of luck to all of you!

I am 12 wks 2 days and was diagnosed with a subchorianic bleed at 6 wks 5 days. I went to the dr to have another u/s on the 11th and was told the tear had healed. But monday when I went to the bathroom I was bleeding again. I am on bedrest until the bleeding has stopped for 48 hrs and then moderate bedrest for 2 more weeks. But does anyone know the likelihood that the tear would reopen? Thanks.

I am almost 14 weeks. I have spotted on two other occa__sions but two days ago my bleeding increased and I became terrified. My DR. did a u/s and noted I had a small subchorionic bleed. My question is... if they notice that and then don't do any further investigating... couldn't they be missing something else? Did anyone have an experience where it was more than a scb.

Pregnant? - October 20

I've been trying to figure out if I'm pregnant. If so, I would be 7weeks and 2 days. Today, I started cramping and bleeding. It's different than my usual period though. I've read alot of your posts and feel this may be something I have because I have so many pregnancy symptoms. I just hope I'm not already miscarrying before finding out if I am for sure. I bought a home pregnancy test today and will take it tomorrow morning. Hopefully I can post on here again with good news. Thanks for all of your posts though.

i was recently told the same thing, I am 4 wekks pregnant, I had went to the emergency room 3 days ago for very heavy bleeding and cramping that had lasted for 2 hours, and now nothing, My Doctor says its common, and for the most part sometimes the pregnancy continues without any complications. I hope this helps.

YES I HAVE HEARD OF THIS I AM CURRENTLY IN THE SAME SITUATION BUT I HAVE NO BLEEDING COMING OUT. I WAS TOLD BY THE DR THAT IT WILL GO AWAY ON ITS OWN. GOOD LUCK AND GOD BLESS..

I was reciently transfered to a high risk OB who really appeared knowledgable. She stated that a SCH is likely to bleed again and should be checked out but she went on to say as the pregnancy progresses the SCH will become relativly smaller in compairson to the pregnancy and pose less of a problem.

I am currently in my 13th week of pregnancy. I too had a subchorionic bleed early on in pregnancy. Mine started out with brown spotting, mainly on toliet tissue. It increased over the course of a week and turned into one episode of bright red bleeding. I went to my dr and was told after an internal US that i had a subchorionic bleed. I was told this is very normal and can occurr as the egg implants into the uterus. I was told this would go away on its own. This all occured at about 7-9 weeks and now I have had no bleeding for three weeks. Think positively and it should resolve itself. I was scared to death but have read up on this and everything I have found states that it has no effect on the baby!!! Which is what really matters!!! Good Luck!!!

Eileen - November 6

Hello to all -- I'm 31, 6 pregnancies, 2 children, and at 12w3d, had a bright gush of blood followed by about 200cc more in the ER (6oz or so) -- the ER docs sent me home, but I stomped (ok, limped) over to the OB clinic and demanded an u/s from an OB (someone trained in what to look for). In the ER we saw a h/b and movement (lots of it actually), same in the OB clinic...no evidence of anything awry, the OB said had I not been bleeding, he would have said "great u/s, have a good weekend!!" -- he put me on progesterone 100mg/2xday. Weirdest part? I had an u/s the 25th (10w6d or so?) and we didn't see anything to indicate this might be coming...could it develop/rupture/drain that fast (11 days) leaving no trace? It just seems so weird...I've put myself on bedrest all weekend..go back in tomorrow for u/s at 8:45...praying praying praying...everyone I know is praying too...*(those we've actually told...)

Stacy - November 6

Eileen- why did your DR. put you on Progesterone after your episode. I was on Progestrone until 13 weeks but was told to stop. I then had a bleed and my SCH diagnosis. Just wondering what effects you were told progestrone has in the 2nd trimester
