I was going to pump but I have now changed my mind. Since I was going to pump the nurse didnt give me any tips on drying out my milk supply. I was wondering if any of you ladies have tips on this subject.

If you wear a really tight sports bra or bind yourself it will help and also try not to express any milk at all as hard as it will be. I also think there is a presciption that your doctor can give you to help dry up your milk.

I was told that to take to pieces of cabbage perferably the red but it doesn't matter and put them in your bra and leave them in there for 1 - 2 hours and within 48 hours they will be dried up and also wrap a ace bandage around you tightly

Cabbage does work for some people but my boyfriends sister just had her baby and doesn't want to b___stfeed so she put cabbage in her bra and it only made her b___bs shrink a little and only for a while. Her sister put cabbage in her bra for a few hours and then never had a problem again after that. I suggest trying it....watch out though its cold lol. goodluck. I heard doctors wont prescribe medecine to dry up your milk anymore.

I just let mine dry up naturally. I wore a fitted bra day and night and made sure they were never stimulated, it took about 2 weeks for it to be complete, and it was painful but it goes away. Be sure that you never expell and milk even if you feel it will relieve presure because it is like starting all over again.

i don't have any advice because i don't think there is any- i have 4 kids that i b___stfed, and when it was time to stop, wow, it soooo hurt. cabbage helps a teeny bit in making it hurt less but just time will dry it up. good luck.

I can't really help too much on that subject, mine dried up amazingly quick after I started pumping, but all I can say is that mine never went all the way away. Though it could very easily be because I didn't use the cabbage...lol!

The cabbage trick stinks bad. Pick up some sage herbs at the grocery and boil them in water (make a tea). Drink that several times a day and take ibuprofphen. This is what I was told and it worked. Start it soon though. I think I waited a litter longer and it was painful!
