I got my first period after about eight weeks, I am bottle feeding. It was mild and not very unpleasant. I finally got my next period about six weeks after the last one, and this time is is extremely heavy! I am bleeding with clots the size of eggs at least, and filling pads at least every hour to two hours. This morning I woke up with my whole front covered in blood. I am beginning to grow weak. I take multi vitamins with iron in them and what not and drink lots of fluids, but I wonder, this couldn't be post partum hemmorhage right, because I am already thirteen weeks post partum! I am still alert enough to type but I am beginning to lose some of my balance. I wonder if that is just the blood loss, or should I consider maybe going to be checked out? I don't want to sleep again and then bleed all over myself....

you should always get yourself checked out if you feel something is going wrong. follow your instincts when it comes to your health. you could be fine, but you need to be checked out.

yes, you should probably get it checked if you are feeling that weak from it, even if it is "normal" heavy period....if you are extremely anemic they will need to check it out. and not to bring up unpleasant thoughts....but i know you were wondering if you were pregnant, did you ever rule that out? could this possibly be an early miscarriage? with the size of clots it sounds like a possibility.......please update me!!!!! im going to be worried about you until i find out how youre doing

Hey girls, well the bleeding has lightened up a bit. I am still going to schedule a doctor's appointment when this "period" ends. Margie it is a possibility it could be a m/c. I was over two weeks late for my period and had all kinds of symptoms. I can recall while using the rest room I started getting these awful cramps and ended up pa__sing this huge clot about the size of an egg, and then the cramps lightened a bit. So I am thinking maybe I did miscarry. I wouldn't rule it out. Then again it could have just been a very heavy period. I am feeling a bit better now though!:)

well thank god you are alright! i was praying for you. if it was a m/c, god only gives us what we can handle and he/she knew it wasn't the right timing for this little one...on the other hand, ive heard of people having god awful periods after pregnancy and for some reason it sounds like the second one a lot of times can be the brutal one...ive only had one so far and it was a lot heavier than usual but not too painful...i hope the next one doesnt knock me out! im so happy you are feeling better sweetie, make sure to keep taking those vitamins with the iron!!
