Well ladies, just as the t_tle suggests. I gave birth on May 11th, had many BM since then, no problem at all. And then, didn't get any BM for like 4 days (not sure why cause I eat lots of fiber) and then this morning OMG!!!! It hurthed like h__l (I even whined) and it bled. I called my sister and she said, yep, that's what it is. But come on, 3 weeks later???? Has this happened to anyone else before?

I have never experienced them, thankgoodness, but I do know that they can start to protrude at anytime after giving birth. Most likely you developed some internal ones during pregnancy or birth that have now emerged, and those are the ones that are painful. You should try an icepack to reduce the swelling, and applecider vinegar can help to shrink them too. Take a vitamin C supplement. I'm not sure why but this helps. And eating different berries, such as cranberries and blackberries can help to reduce occurance. If you're wondering why I know all this it is because I am a nurse, lol! Oh, and sitting in a warm bath for about 25 minutes everyday helps as well. If after a couple weeks they still aren't shrinking or going away then your Dr. can give you something stronger for them. I'm sorry you have to go through all that, ahhh the joys of giving birth!!

Thanks for your answer Crystal! I had no idea it could show up later! I was like so proud that I had escaped it! Lol! THanks for all the tips too. I will see my dr in about 2-3 weeks for the postpartum check up anyway, so if I'm still having problems, I will definitely talk to her about it.

I am going through the exact same thing!! 3 weeks in and BAMM and I have had BM's before with no prob. My suggestion is a stool softener.

My hospital actually tried to prepare me for this one. Part of my post partem care was to put on hemmeroid cream and take stool softeners just incase. I'm about as far along PP as you and this problem is croping up for me, too. =(
