Hey ladies, I am 38 weeks pregnant and have been talking with a friend of mine who just recently had her baby. She said that hemroids suck. I know in general what a hemroid is but Im not sure on the specifics. I dont know if I will have them, obviously I havent had the baby yet....I was just wondering what exactly they were, and if I do get them how to deal with them. Thanks! (I heard Tucks was good for them, any thoughts on that?)

Hemriods can occur wheather you had a baby or not. It is a vien that has swelled so much that it has become inflamed. It can either kind hang out of your b___t, or it could also be inside. It hurts and bleeds and stings when you go to the bathroom. They have hemriod cream at any drug store. It make the hemriod smaller and get rid of the inflammation. Witch hazel also helps.

don't worry, a lot of people don't get them....some women do when they give birth from all the pressure of the baby on their b___t!....I didn't get them at all- everyone is different. however, I got stretch marks on my tummy and not everyone gets them either! Don't worry, if you do the midwives will help you take care of them.

Thank you so much for the answers. I was just wondering also if anyone knows how long (aprx) hemroids take to go away? Thanks again ladies.

Hello, I had my baby three weeks ago and had a large hemorrhoid from pushing, and actually it wasn't that bad for me. It didn't bleed or even hurt that much to have a BM, or sit or anything. The hospital gave me some cream which helped alot. It went away in about two weeks.

hi i got them from 26 weeks preg and had my son at 36.5 weeks (19 days ago) i have been using a__sol cream which helps by shrinking them, i call them piles and it is the first time i have ever had them, this is my 3rd baby but he is also the smallest at 5lb 2oz. my doctor said they will shrink on their own and go but to go back if they bleed. not everyone gets them and try not to strain when pa__sing stools. i hope this helps
