My girlfriend turned 15 just under a month ago, and we had a baby back in March. Our parents made me move in with her, the baby, and her dad three months ago, and I've noticed she cries a lot and sometimes goes off into her own little world. That is part of postpartum, right? If so, what can I do for her, and will it affect our daughter?

It sounds like it could be postpartum. The fact that you are inquiring and wanting to help her is a huge first step. She will need all the support she can get, especially being such a young mother. I would try talking to her and helping her realize that this is completely normal. It is very common for women to experience postpartum depression after having a baby. She will need to speak to her doctor as well. Your doctor can usually prescribe medication, or he may suggest seeing a therapist to help with "talk therapy". He may suggest both, depending on the severity. There are so many resources on the internet as well that will give you a good understanding as to what it is, and why women get it. I wish you both the best, and applaud you for doing the right thing and moving in with her to raise your baby together.
