I am 7 weeks PP and got the green light from my midwife to have s_x at my 6 week PP visit. This morning DH and I attempted to have s_x and it was really painful when he was entering me (sorry if TMI) and I had him stop half way as there was no joy out of it whats so ever. I actually think they may have st_tched me up too tight, is that even possible? Perhaps my body just isn't ready yet? Will I ever be the same again and enjoy s_x or will it always hurt like this? If anyone has anything to share on this topic that would be great. Thanks!

I'm 10 months PP and its only finally not hurting...
It was very painful in the beginning. We stopped many times. Its like being a virgin all over again...probably worse. I was scared, I was nervous, and I hurt. Just remember everything has to stretch out again..as if its never been used..lol. It'll take a while, but you'll get there. Use lots of lube...go slow... Just let your DH know/understand whats going on and to have patience. My DF didn't really get it at first..was banging away..while i'm yelling at him to stop.

I had to bump this I am 13 weeks pp and it really hurts still. I am confused as to how everything has to stretch out again?? Doesn't having a baby stretch things out? Also, is it normal to feel pain kinda inside, almost like something pressing on a bruise?

I am 2 mos past birth. I had an emergency c-section. Let me tell you - s_x HURTS! This may be TMI, but I'm able to climax if there's oral stimulation, but penetration HURTS! My doctor told me that my body does not have enough estrogen (or the other one, I forget) and to be prepared for painful s_x (it's comparable to when we go through menopause). The fact that I'm b___stfeeding makes even less lubrication. KY Jelly and Astroglide don't really help. I hear it's all normal.

ESol i had a planned c-section and s_x hurt for a while, i think around 3 months it was tolerable and now at 4.5 months i'm finally getting some pleasure out of it. I don't know what it is about c-sections that make it so bad since the baby didn't come out that way but it will get better.

We tried at 6 weeks pp and it was AWFUL. Things were very dry and sore. By about 12 weeks pp it was a bit better, but the first few minutes still really hurt. But all of a sudden around 20 or 22 weeks pp things seemed to get really better, penetration didn't hurt, we didn't need Mr. KY anymore, and I actually enjoyed it! It will get better. I too had a c-sec and couldnt understand why all the changes.
