Miss A Day Of Anti Depressants

I've been taking Lexapro for postpartum depression, and I forgot to take it one day (I take the pill every night before bed) and the next day was aweful!! I was even more depressed and moody that day that I forgot the pill then when I was before I was prescribed the pills! So I always always always make sure to remember to take it now, but is that reaction normal to missing a day????

I'm on Zoloft for postpartum depression, and I have missed a pill also....but the main thing that I notice when I do, is that I feel sluggish, tired, like I've been run over by a truck! And I guess I'm just too tired to realize, but I'm sure I'm depressed then too! Yeah, with antidepressants, its very important to take it everyday, even at the same time each day - but it happens sometimes that we may miss one - so I would definitely a__sume your reaction was normal - just jump back into it today and believe me, once you miss it once or twice, you feel the effects of it, and I guarantee, like me, you'll find it hard to forget to take it! :o)

hey piratesmermaid...how are things going with the baby? I don't know if I have developed PPD but I have developed panic attacks... :-( I use to get them several years back but for the last several years I haven't had any or could control them and talk my self out of getting them... I had a bad episode with my heart when i went and visited my dad and ever since I've struggled with anxeity attacks... Don't know what to do.

Hey ashley. I'm sorry about your panic attacks. I used to get'em too. Mine was more hyperventilating and loosing a sense of reality more than my heart rate. My hubby was/is the only one who could talk me out of them. They're scary, definitely. Hopefully this is just a freak thing, and you'll regain your control over them soon........Gretchen's doing well. Getting big, and sleeping through the night (8 hrs straight the last couple nights!!) Cooing and gibbering all the time. She loves to look around too when we go on walks or in the store.

PM-hey so tell me your overall thoughts on lexapro. Do you have any s_xual side effects that most SSRI's can have? Do you think it makes a difference? I just called my doc and asked them to give me an antidepressant for my anxiety.
