My baby is 11 days old and he is up crying all night long and now he is asleep during the day and i dont know if i should try and wake him up of what. He is like a different baby at night, he is so good during the day. What can I do? Do i just have to wait it out until he gets a few weeks older? Help!

Sounds like your little guy has his days & nights confused. My daughter is 3 weeks old and I'm going through the same thing basically. I've tried to keep her up more during the day but to no avail. I've been giving her baths just before her "last" night feeding (10:30-11ish) in hopes that it will relax her and get her to sleep a little longer. I guess we just wait it out. GL to you

You can try to keep him awake longer during the day, but that young, I would just let him sleep. Keep things as consistant as possible, establish a night time routine (bath, book, bottle, bed) and keep the night time feedings as quiet and low key as possible (dim lights, whisper to him as you change the diaper and feed him) rock him back to sleep. It will take a while for him to catch on, but he will, I promise!! My lo is 3 months and is just now starting to sleep through the night. He was a night time awake, day time sleeper as well.

Try keeping all of the lights on and curtains open during the day. The daylight will help. When he's awake try to be really animated, talk and play more. Then at night keep the room as dark as possible. If you have a little lamp to turn on for diaper changes put the lowest watt bulb in it you can. Try not to talk to your little one at night. The darkness was the hardest for me when my ds was that young. I was always so paranoid about not being able to see him easily at night. Give it another week. It'll get better.
