Im 1 week postpartum and so far i've had two st_tches show up on my toilet paper when i use the bathroom. It feels like there are a couple of tares down there and I was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and if so, does it heal on it's own or should i go to the doctor for some reconstruction??????PLEASE HELP.......

If you think that your wounds have reopened you should call your doctor asap. I noticed that they start to hurt more as they heal. The st_tches dissolve on the inside and may come off on your paper when you wipe. I have tears down there and they are very uncomfortable and get more so because of nerve endings reconnecting, but definately call your doc, tell them what you think may be gong on and see what they say.

I not 100% sure, but i think i week is a bit to soon for them to be coming out. I had alot of stiches, and didnt notice any come out, but i didnt wipe, i dabbed, which helped with the pain. With my second i had a tear and didnt get any stiches, and it was the worst pain i have ever felt, i thought i was going to vomit every time i went to the toilet, but it did heal, it just took a really long time, so its prob best to go see your doc, just in case. good luck: )

Mine started falling out at 5 days. It was OK for me but my tear was only 1st degree, so I could imagine that it could be a problem is someone had a worse tear.

I'm a week postpartum, and my bottom is a mess from the delivery. I tore inside and upward on the outside (not the normal midline downward tear or epis). I've noticied the tears/st_tches have been stinging and itching worse now. I'm sure it's due to the healing process getting going. A very warm bath helps. Also, did you get any Dibucaine ointment from the hospital? That helps too. I haven't had any st_tches come out, so I'm not much help in that department. I'd just call the nurse at the doctor's office and ask. Take care!!

i week is a bit early...they shouldn't be healing and coming out that quick. i would call the doctor and go in. i had that problem in the begininning and my doctor re-stiched as he asaid it was from thr initial sweelling the stiches may have been loose. after they reminded me to dab not really wipe after going to the bathroom. i did and used that bottle to spray mysself after and i had no more problems.
