I've been reading about how to restrengthen your abs after pregnancy (I just delivered a little over a week ago) and keep coming across the Tupler techniques used in this book, "Lose Your Mummy Tummy". Have any of you every used these techniques and did they work? Also, should I be waiting until my 6wks pp visit since I had an episiotomy? I'm almost down to my pre-pregnancy weight (only five more pounds to go) so not worried about getting there which I anticipate happening in the next few days but I was in need of a good 25 lbs weight loss before pregnancy so I'm ready to take advantage of my time off from school to get to my goal weight. Any experience or advice is welcome. Thanks!

I would ask your doctor, or a nurse at L&D. I didn't really tear and so obviously didn't have an episiotomy, and before I left she told me I could exercise regularly as soon as I felt like it. It might be different for you since you probably have st_tches - I would definitnely call to find out!

You really need to wait 6 weeks and give yourself time to heal.

I figure I'll need to wait until after my 6wks visit but has anyone used the Tupler technique????
