I'm not even sure sometimes that I want my daughter. I was screaming and crying the other day. She's just 10 weeks old. Her whole att_tude changed after I threw my fit. I yelled and I told her I didn'te ven want her. She looks sad most of the time now. I cry all the time. I hate having her. I hate her father. I feel old and tired and worn out. I don't even know whose life this is anymore. Should I give her away? Does it take longer to get attached?

Sounds like you're definitely having a hard time attaching to her. DO you think you can handle raising her for the next 18 years??? You shouldn't be yelling her, she's a helpless human being. She didn't tell you to bring her into this world. You should consider giving her up for adoption, if you don't get your head straight.

Also, perhaps you should seek professional help, if you truly want to try to keep the baby.

This sounds like postpartum depression. I think it's worth mentioning to your doctor...immediately.

I agree with Confused- my dear your child needs you more than anything in the world. She loves you already and knows your voice and she needs you...Please go speak to your dr. you are experiencing post-partum ..You will get through it be patient with the little soul ..all she wants is food and a warm hug.

I think you need to call your doctor right away. I think you have postpartum depression (PPD). I did exactly the same thing to DS when he was 11 weeks old, and it turned out I was horribly depressed. PPD is real, it causes us to do things we don't want to do, and it can last for years if we don't take care of it early. It causes real harm to our children too, and can destroy our families. You can get through this, but you have to take the first step and get some help. Call your doctor NOW. Good luck!
