I've been on it for 6 months now and have had no side effects, not even any spotting. But they are not for everyone, i know some women's bodies do not handle them as well and they are not as forgiving as regular pills. You have to take them at the exact same time everyday and you don't get a break ever. So if you think you might have a problem remembering they are probably not for you.

THanks Krissy, what do you mean by not as forgiving as regular pills. Does it mean that it is possible to have longer periods & nausea? Also is missing a pill on the mini pill come with bad side effects, when you mentioned that you dont get a break? What have you heard from others? I just have a feeling I won't do well on them. I tend to miss pills every now and then.. & my cousin had taken it and had a horrible experience. Thanks again for the input!

What i mean by not as forgiving is that with the regular pill you can take them about the same time everyday (i always just took it before i went to bed could have been anywhere from 9pm-1am depending on the night) with the mini pill you need to be within the same hour everyday even being 3 hrs. late could cause you to ovulate. And with the regular pills if you miss a day you can catch up and usually still be ok, not so with the mini pill. I'm not sure how periods are while on the mini pill as i still have not had one yet because of b___stfeeding, it's kind of weird though because eventually i will get my period but i don't ever stop taking the pill, you take it 28 days not 21 with 7 fake pills. So yeah, there is a lot of responsibility involved, i'm very religious about taking them at the same time every morning so far it has worked out well for me but i will be glad when i stop b___stfeeding and can start the regular pills.

so you havent had your period in the 6 months youve been taking them? that is nice! is it because of taking the mini pills that there is not a period? sorry, i have a ton of questions..

Well i had been exclusivly b___stfeeding up until a little over a month ago, then i started to introduce solids so i expect that i will be getting my period soon.
